This might help.Has anyone used both the Nikon 24-120mm f4 and Sigma 24-105mm F4 Art on the D750 (or D610/D600 I guess) and has an unbiased opinion on them?

I think most people who have used the Sigma talks about the centre sharpness being better than the Nikon 24-120 F4 VR and is also supported here with the test results.

It also has better VR. Its corner performance only shows promise from F8. I was seriously considering this one for my D600/D610, but after doing some reading and looking at my needs, I settled with the 24-85 VR.
I personally think that comparing these walk around or general purpose zooms should be done on specific parameters one is looking for. If one is using these for travelling and just general casual shooting, it will be hard to find any difference. People using these for landscape will not shoot anything under F8 and all these lenses are pretty similar in F8-F22 range.
You might have an edge with sharpness going with the Sigma and 1 stop better VC. This is one Sigma lens that does not get too much love and its thunder is stolen by the Tamron 24-70 2.8 even though you loose reach, but you gain one stop of light, the point here is most other Art lenses have much wider apertures where they shine. The 24-120 at F4 doesn't offer much other than sharpness to differentiate against competition.
