The D500 cometh yes we await the tests and very sure its going to be some camera and raise the bar
Or is it ?
In the real world lets look
The D7200 and D7100 could go for £500 or less used the 7100 less the D500 a cool £1700
Both these cameras are 24 MP D500 21 MP
10 FPS vs 6FPS advantage yes but hardly necessary unless you are a photo journalist
150 focus points vs 51 yes great and I am sure its better but really whats wrong with the AF on the D7200 ? plus depends on your lens too
ISO yes likely much better but unless you are a shooter regularly shooting in dark places or need it for a living how big a deal ?
Snap bridge and articulating screens do me a favour !
In the real world I bet there is scarcely a diference you are paying huge money for very marginal improvements this is great news for us amatuers as great kit can be had for low cost for those prepared to sit over the shoulder of those who play the manufacturers game. And in two years once the D520 is out you upgrade
Put your money in glass
Whats not to like ?
