Yeah both right but not a lot of difference really
I'm my experience the Tamron is actually a sharper lensOnly in the price .![]()
Not a lot in it at all. it really is a great lens, What camera are you using it with John ? .
The same as me, I also have a d7200. but ob its cropped so a longer range on that.
So is it common to get 'bad' copies of these lenses ?
I did read and watch a lot of reviews before buying and no one really rubbished the lens and in some cases found it better - like one I saw with the canon and the tamron for chromatic aberration and the Tamron was better in that instance
The 15-30 is AMAZINGYeah, Tamron's QC (or lack of) is quite infamous. Much better these days since they upped their game but I know a few people who've required 2/3 copies after returns to get a sharp one. The 24-70, as amazing a lens as it is, also suffers from Tamrons poor QC.
If you get a good copy of either (which you obviously have) then you're laughing!![]()

That's good to know.... Phew!!
I also have the Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 and the Tamron 19-35mm F/3.5-4.5 - both excellent lenses - the 19-35 was cheap as chips and I use it all the time
