Does anyone have one of these? They seem hard to come by and reviews seem pretty thin on the ground! Fred Miranda doesn't contain that many reviews either

. I'm assuming the price is one reason why not many people have one but the few pics I've seen taken with this lens are fantastic!!
Cheers Paul
I have one - why do you ask? Are you looking to buy one, and want to have a go first - I am in Lincoln if you happen to be passing.
This lens should be so much more common. For a similar cost to a 300 2.8, you can get a 200 f2 and 1.4TC - why wouldn't you?
In 15 yrs of professional photography, it is THE sharpest lens I have ever used, and won't be parting with it without a serious reason.
I use it in the pitlane and trackside with a D3x.
Pit lane - full frame bokeh love,
Trackside - Faithful workhorse, DX crop plus 1.4 or 1.7 TC for a bit of extra reach. It takes the TCs very well.
It all depends what you are after from your kit.
70-200 2.8 - small, light, inconspicuous, versatile, but not sharp (from my experience, I had 4 of them) doesn't take TCs anywhere near as well.
200 f2 - SHARP, SHARP, SHARP, bokeh, but heavier, draws more attention to yourself if you are out and about, fixed focal length.
You have to work out what it is you see as priorities.
The worst aspect of this lens.........you will feel that all of your other lenses are cheating on you!!
Cheers
