Hi all,

Just wondering what the going rate is for a nightclub photographer?

Thanks
Paul

depends on who it is, what it is for etc.

£60-130 for photos I suppose

If this is for one of those jobs advertised on the job centre website selling keyrings etc I really wouldn't bother. Lots of threads on here about that subject, and its really not worth it.

If however, you've been approached to do a job for a nightclub, then we really need some more details. Length of the job, number of photos, useage etc.

I'm shooting tonight at a local club.
Will be there 10.30 till 2.30, and will be asking for £50+ as well as a freebee on the bar

I'm fairly cheap because I just do it for fun, and I know the club quite well.

Guess it depends on what you are happy with and your level of experience

Looks ok for a first attempt, well done

Much PP done to these?
Good fun night club snapping

I'll have a closer look on my computer when I get home on the computer

Ollie

Yeah decent amount of pp. Mainly bringing black levels up and adjusting for the lights overexposing certain areas

Don't look too bad at all buddy.
Well done : )

What were your base settings? Were you using a flash gun?

I'll throw a few of mine up later for you after I crawl out my bed

Thanks guys. Did my first shoot on Thursday. Was harder than I expected, but kinda enjoyed it. What do you think

try and get more colour in the background - not always possible but it makes the picture better than having black. also if its not busy, shoot people against walls (lol) or DJ booth etc and get close in crops so you can't tell how busy it is. Its not always possible to get perfect shots but be wary of spot lights coming across people when you shoot too. You got some pretty decent shots there you should be pleased. another trick is to adjust the WB if you can to give a slightly warmer feel to the shots.

some recent ones of mine

If you can, try some 2nd curtain sync (shutter about 1/2 sec would be worth a try) for that swirly, ghosty look.
