Just posted my entry, at least I think I learned something from setting it up but will probably forget most of it for the next time :)

I've been so focused on the other challenges that I failed to get in for this one. Will try harder. (I also missed the FPOTY date, but that's not so much my fault).

I'm struggling for ideas for this one. I've got one idea but it doesn't work with the 50mm focal length (on FF) it's more a wide shot. I'll have to have a serious think.

Another few weeks and the Christmas music will be starting in the supermarket.... :naughty:

Not until we've seen off summer items from March, schools back in June & Halloween in August.

Early days yet Wayne, I've got a safety shot but still thinking for something unusual. As you say 50mm doesn't lend itself to "perspective" type shots but that's tha challenge part of it. :D

I'm glad I got my entry taken early doors. The weather has been absolutely awful for most of this month with no sign of it getting better in the next fortnight.

I haven't even got a banker in yet. I have some ideas for the shot, but I won't be able to do them until the end of the month, so I do need to get something in early doors just in case.

Yup the weather is and has been atrocious , waiting for a break as I have a spot that will fit the theme.

The sun came out today! I thought I had a great idea for 'lines', but when I got near by, I thought, "It would look so much better on my 28mm lens". So I went and had coffee and cake instead. :coffee:

I've now thought of a smaller scale scene, possibly suitable for 50mm (FF) - just waiting for the next sunny day.

I've been out today, not sure I've got anything decent but I've definitely got one or two shots that fit the theme. I'll have a look at them later, if there's one I like I'll pop it in the thread... if not, I'll keep them as bankers for another week or so :)

Just had a look at today's shots and they're all crap! Really boring, literally just felt like a load of pictures of things with no point at all. Looks like I'm back to the drawing board! :D

EDIT: actually, there's one which I don't hate. I'll have another look at them in the morning, maybe I'm just a bit overtired...

I had a think and come up with a shot, the sun went in before I got there, but at least it stayed dry.

Don't worry chaps, I've had another look and I've got one that I do quite like, so I have a banker if I can't get anything else :)

...and I've taken yesterday's trip out as a lesson: firstly, that you can't force inspiration, and secondly: I need to get out more to keep my eye in :)

(also, I had a look on Flickr last night and there's a great shot of the boom which is only possible when the tide is in, so I need to go back for that at some point)

Question. I am thinking of buying a 35mm lens which will give me a 52.5mm on apc, is this acceptable please?

Sony 35mm arriving tomorrow and away next week to WSM no exactly where I will be heading for my decay shot!
