I'm really liking this, love the motion of the public going about their business and all of the clock faces.

I'm not an expert, but I think it's a European Redwing. I had to look it up. We get some interesting birds around here , but this is the first time I've seen these. There's a few of them too.

We get a few interesting ones around here, Nuthatches, various Woodpeckers, Finches and so on, but this weekend was the first time I've ever seen one of these... To the extent that I had to look it up.

I'd have liked a little shallower DOF, but the little Sony isn't the best for that. I guess that's the price of pocketable.
 
I like the colour red shot - obviously depends on the equipment available but a thinner dof would have enhanced the effect further.

I did have a bit of a Google. Bad Axe is an axe throwing experience in town, I can only assume he's an instructor.

That would have definitely been my choice, but it's a weakness of the little Sony because of its sensor size.

It was actually Hyde Park. We walked up through there after going to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at the Natural History Museum.

I did consider that for a while, but in the end I figured it was more people going on with their daily lives. I also considered taking a little off the left of the frame where there is no-one, but the lady on the bike needed some space to move into.
 
Ok, a bit of a shoehorn, I'll give you that!

I cursed when this theme came out. I'm stuck in Barcelona (well I say stuck... you know what I mean), with no tripod, and entirely inappropriate kit.

Imagine my delight, while in the excellent Jamboree Jazz Club watching the equally excellent Dave Bristow Quintet, when the band kicked into their tune 'Stars of Orion', the surrounding screens started displaying animations of the night sky.... That'll have to do.

I suspect this won't embed properly, as I'm working from my phone, but I hope it's available upon clicking.... Anyway, here goes!
