The nature of communication through the written word means that anything written is read with an emphasis & emotional content belonging to the reader, rather than writer. Therefore it is not unusual for misunderstandings to happen, high-horses to be say upon, umbrage embraced like a long-lost friend and teddies to be firmly ejected from perambulators. It doesn't happen too often, but sometimes people will forget to add a smiley to a humorous post or will decide the 'plain speaking' is the right approach when tact would be more helpful.
You get my drift.
Over the years I've noticed that different disciplines have different approaches to life. Guitarists tend to be a bit gung-ho, have a good time and are quite heterosexual and matey. Bass players are often socialist, depressed and sometimes cross-dress (kid you not). Photographers tend to be nit-picky, unsure whether their work is art or craft and unhappy about that, for whom detail is extremely important - they can be the nicest people face to face, but behind a keyboard... Like I said, best not to worry, get stuck into the forum and enjoy it. Post some pictures as soon as you can so we can see you stuff.
