Hey all
Im off to the big apple tomorrow and so thought I'd just come on here to grab some last minute tips from you guys.
Im taking the camera (D90), 10-20mm, 35mm and the 18-105mm that came with it.The tips Im after really are settings tips like what mode would you use (m, s, a, p etc), what white balance setting, what metering mode (spot etc), focus mode (single point, 3d etc) and in what situations would you use these in ? Ive been messing about with the camera alot recently and one problem I cant get my head around is that I was taking a shot of my brick wall in the garden, in the bottom half I had the wall (with a couple bushes at the side) and the top half was the sky.The histogram showed the sky as burnt out,so i under exposed by -0.7 and it was all good except for now the bottom of the photo was too dark. Any ideas ?
All this may be a big ask but I just want to make sure I dont make any major cock ups as its not the kind of place you get to go back to every week.
Thanks so much
Joe
