New Old Digital Challenge - Discussion Thread

Well done @John_L for your clear winner this time - and John has already provided a new theme, but I'm going to wait until the weekend to post it, just to keep folks guessing!
 
Only 4 entries this time for "Alone" - so I've limited the voting to 2 votes each. It seemed like a good theme, although as usual time for me to search my files was a problem. Anyway, voting is open
 
I just ran out of time, thinking there was another week. :(
 
I’m on holiday at the moment, with no access to my archived files. Otherwise I would definitely have entered - a couple of different shots immediately sprang to my mind when I first saw the theme.
 
Kerry has already supplied a new theme idea which works for me, so I'll start the new theme images thread shortly. NB though that I'm going to increase the submission time now going forward to three weeks - we many of us are busy people in various ways, and too often I and others miss the deadlines.
 
Clearly not a very popular theme this time, only 4 entries. So it's TWO favourites in the poll please

New theme suggested and agreed...I'll post the entries thread shortly, meanwhile get thinking about interpretations and options for Inside

Thanks for your encouragement folks - taking a flight in one of the actual airframes that your father flew in WW2 is not a gift given to many - as you might imagine it was a very emotional day.

I have PMd Lindsay with a suggestion and await his judgement on suitability.

As John mentioned, he has proposed a new theme "Repetition" which offers a variety of interpretations which hopefully will match images in peoples archives...
 
I missed the end date by a few days - poll now added and notice going up. Not that many entries surprisingly.

I think a lot of us are distracted by current events of various kinds right now.

I entered a shot this morning and then my wife reminded me of a different one, so I've just edited my entry. No-one had reacted to it or anything, so I hope that's okay?
