Yes
So who will be getting one? They're released tomorrow.

Right now I'm stuck on my old Palm Pre after my Pre 2 broke. Turns out this Pre isn't in as good working condition as I recall either. Fortunately the Nexus 4 will have wireless charging just like my webOS devices, so that was the icing on the cake for me. The price they're charging is astonishing - I'll be getting the 16GB Nexus 4 and then going for a sim only contract with Giff Gaff for £12 a month :)

So far as the tablet side of things is concerned I've already got a Touchpad with ICS/CM9 on it. It's hardly modern by any stretch of the imagination but it does the job so I'll be sticking with it for the moment :)

Sorely tempted by the 8GB Nexus 4, my ZTE Blade is on its last legs

BTW don't you need a special accessory (not included) for wireless charging...?

That was my impression too, however could be time to buy a Xmas present on Google tomorrow!

The charger itself you need to buy separately, but the equipment the phone itself needs is already built in. Also I think it's compliant with the wireless charging standard known as "Qi", so that means you can use it with most wireless chargers in the market.

tempted to get nexus 4 but contemplating the lack of 4g

if I didn't have ipad3, nexus 10 would be next on my list

How can the lack of 4G bother you? 4G prices are extortionate and I bet they will remain so for the next year at least.

Well looks like all the Apple folk are wanting them too...........

We're sorry, there was an error. Please try again later.

Ordered a Nexus 7 with 3G today. Just in time as well by the looks of it as they are on back order now.

managed to order N4 today :)

N10 maybe as Xmas present ;)

I'm buying for the next 2-2.5 years, not till next summer. A common sense would dictate the drop of 4g prices at some point in the near future. Lack of decent 2/3g connectivity forces me to have a good think about 4g, provided they deliver their promises about rural areas and all that

If past experience is any sign, it will take years to roll 4g out to areas outwith the big cities, certainly longer than your 2 to 2.5 year timeframe imo.

Not in the market for either, but the pricing is very aggressive and that's a lot of mobile phone for not a lot of money!

What are the N7 3G tariffs like? I've been thinking about getting one but I want to see the data tariffs before going for the 3G version.

As cheap or as dear as you want

I use a T-Mobile PAYG SIM. 1GB a month, costs £20 for 6 months

Aye, the 3 R's are alive and well!

It's a bit late for international talk like a pirate day :)

Not as cheap as some but GiffGaff do 500mb for £5, 1gb for £7.50 and 3gb for 12.50 a month.

Really? Could I have a link please :)

I use a standard T-Mobile PAYG SIM card

Put £20 credit on card

That gives you 1Gb a month for 6 months, been doing it since the iPad 1 came out

Linky

Common sense doesn't come in to it. Mobile contract prices took a massive jump with the introduction of 3G and never went back down*, 4G prices with EE have taken another massive jump, will they go down again...? Looking at the US market computer says no... We seem to be getting closer and closer to the US price plans over here at the moment.

*Remember the days when you could get a £400 phone free on a 12 month £30-35 a month contract... You'll be lucky to get it free on a 24 month contract now...:(

Indeed, at the current prices and footprint 4G will be an irrelevance in the UK for the next 12 months at least.

I've got a Nexus 4 on order (well back order according to the last e-mail) from the Google Play Store. Stupidly good value for under £300 IMO.

actually if you time it right you can get 7 months
you put the £20 credit on near the end of the month
that gives you internet access for the following month
then on the last day of that month you do the above to buy 6 months for £20
works for me !!

Just ordered a Nexus 7 32g 3G, they're available for order again on the google site.

Underwear to them, Kindle Fire HD will do fine for a Santa job:D

I'd prefer the underwear... :naughty:

I'm enjoying mine nexus 4:)

Keeping a close eye on the Play Store for stock updates on the 16gb version.

They are back up and available now.

And they're still available after 15 minutes

And after nearly 30 minutes, but shipping time has gone up from 1-2 weeks to 4-5 weeks

They said 1-2 weeks for the nexus 7 but it arrived the day after ordering!

Order summary states "Ships from Google in 4 - 5 weeks". On the next screen a 9.99 charge is added for two day delivery :-s

Placed my order for the nexus 4 last night with. 5-6week wait stated. Just had an email informing me of it shipping. Not quite sure what google are hoping to get out of massively over estimating these shipping times.

There's a rumour that if you asked for the phone to arrive auto linked to your g mail then you have to wait a couple of weeks, whereas if you don't they're being sent out quickly
