New modern car advancements ,likes and dislikes.

Love the Dipping Door Mirrors on my Grand C4 Picasso when I select Reverse so that I can see the Kerb.

Also got Reversing Camera (don`t knock it until you get one) wouldn`t do without it.

Ok there is a whole series to go with my new toy, so much technology it is fantastic :) One highlight was discovered tonight.

So I had the HID Intelligent Light System on my outgoing GL Class, but now I've got the LED+ Intelligent Light System on the GLC and it is bloody brilliant. Tonight I was out in it, picking up my daughter from the Dacorum cross country race, and driving along the auto full beam system went on above 40mph as I expected it to be, but then it didn't go down when I was behind someone. At first I thought WTF, that is no good, but then I looked again and although I have my full beams on, their cabin, their windows and mirrors were pitch black, yet all around and ahead of the vehicle was my full beam shining. And then there was a corner and the cornering lights really showed off how my ILS lighting drew a black box around the vehicle in front and blocked it out, it was pitch black, and it followed it in the corner. I was so taken in by it that I was just looking at the black box moving about to cover the car that I nearly went into the bushes myself :)

But that was not it, with oncoming traffic the black box became a rectangle and the full beam remained on but again blocked out the windscreen of the other vehicle not to blind them and was tracking it.

I'm not often impressed but I thought that was pretty amazing.

PS. Queue @nilagin coming on saying that the Ford Fiesta had that for years :P

Now that is useful, not like ABS LSD's etc :D
Yeah it's got all that as well, and you can switch it off. Further more the auto in manual mode is actually manual. Yeah finally one that bounces off the limited and not just upshift :p

And then I just discovered this. Ideal for hackers like me but hey I like a gadget.

Yeah it's got all that as well
Its a nice looking car I'll give you that, if you want me to test it off road just let me know,
I won't get it *that* dirty honestly :D

As an aside, I was mud plugging / off roading today in my Izusu, ( and getting paid :D ) great sideways fun, I never did figure out what the 4x4 symbol was for though :D

Sounds like fun :) it is actually worthy of the G this one. Just like my GL was. Although I'm not sure my 21" wheels are that suitable.

Jeeze thats not off roading, I've done far worse / better than that in a little FWD van. :p

I'm talking about mud up to the sills and slime underneath the mud, suppose I'd better pressure wash it before the boss sees it though :D

Cones, I did that in an artic, its part of the test :p

More dry tracks and a little drop of water thrown in, some of these "guys" should try driving around a landfill site after a down pour, they'd soon learn what "soft ground"
and "bog like" means :p

Yeah, & I'd like to see it oop Norf when Winter kicks in. :p Ice-road truckers would struggle up here sometimes! :D
