I think the phrase is, 'you cant polish a turd!'
So you tell me its not a 4x4 that's its a crossover! if you want to dress it up like it needs to more than talk the talk.Hmmm id hazard I guess that if you put it on slightly rough terrain you'd be left with bits all over the field and you'd definitely need a roof airbag. You've obviously bought into the hype so enjoy it, but if as already has been suggested its been discounted so much its not selling and you might find it rather difficult to sell at a decent price at change time. Did they offer you a guaranteed future value?
Very very wise John - out of interest what was the OTR price and what was the GFV?The car was bought on PCP so we have it for 3 years and its a guaranteed price at the end and we have a full warranty over that period

Like I said before, if its what you want enjoy it - it would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing. I drive a 4x4 but its partially a work tool and I wouldn't trust any of the crossovers over some of the farm tracks I encounter.
A car known to my sons and I as the Nissan Joke or Nissan Puke.(And at least it stopped you buying a Juke. The car that was designed by Stevie Wonder. )
Funny that I actually like the Nissan Juke. Especially Nismo tuned...Citroen have never been frightened to break the mould with design. I think the Cactus looks pretty good, especially the front end. Enjoy the new car.

Each to their own; personally I think they look hideous. Definitely style over substance in the design too, the raked rear end means there's very little boot space for the size of the car.Funny that I actually like the Nissan Juke. Especially Nismo tuned...

Yes the front of the cactus does look mean and that is one part I am surprised more don't like
I have never liked the Juke and we did test drive one and liked it less, you are right the boot is tiny and I tell you the Citroen reverse camera is leagues ahead of the juke
I quite like it, a no nonsense practical car that can take a bump or too. Perfect for a jobbing car

Haha. Design, squishy egg-box sides, reversing camera, strange accessories .......![]()
made for those who cannot park and those who frequent supermarkets a lot. Its not a bad car and for the money a good buy, IMHO.
Hey, I don't disagree with you really.TBH I don't mind the look of it & for the money is actually pretty good.
Just having a laugh with others @ John's `bravery`![]()
As the old joke goes...Citroen have never been frightened to break the mould with design.
Just editing while you were posting
I had a S60 a few years ago & really liked it.![]()

Edit, just to add, I like Defenders & the Skoda Yeti. If we still had 2 cars, mine would be a pickup, probably the new L200, but my moneyboss says no.![]()
To be fair, it does go really nice together with your tweed hat and featherI drive a Volvo S80, I miraculous escaped lots of pee taking over that choice of car.
What happened to 2 litre cars...

or 2.5?
Yeah, it's all about green stuff/politics these days. (& how much the govt's can screw you for) :meh: :indifferent:
We also looked at the new squashi, but smaller engines as you say & they didn't do the larger + like they used to.
Also looked at the new X-trall, but they don't even make the diesel with an auto box anymore.
Anyroad (you asked earlier) I finally decided on a Mitsi GX4 Outlander. (2.2 turbo)
Not really, John. You aren't thinking about the Shogun are you?
Now see I cannot say anything as it now looks like I am being petty - but I think I saw one of those in white in the tesco carpark last night am I right in saying they are H U G E - like a bus
But anyway I do quite like the front of them - but that's all - sorry just being honest
But being a Mitsubishi it will go well and I am sure will have loads of toys
But going back to engine size I was shocked at the size of engines now for such big cars as the Quaschai
She has good sense, it is horrible to drive. Turn the steering wheel, count to ten, wait a bit longer and yes it starts turning. One of the few cars where I just turned around on the test drive as it was utterly horrible and years behind he competition to drive on the road.Aye,John, I just edited my post.
Well they aint small cars obviously, but my Moneyboss can park it easily (& fairly happily) She preferred her Yaris, when we had 2 cars, but as long as she has the reversing camera she's OK. She refused to let me test drive the L200 though![]()

No, the previous one. They better have changed the full drive train and steering rack. As even the TWR version couldn't make the old ones decent. Are you referring to the new one that came out last month? Series 5 (different altogether now)
The outlander huge? I think you must be mixing it up with something else.
Engine size don't mean that much. Sure in the past with naturally aspired engines there was no substitute over cubic inches as the Americans used to say. But nowadays. Nah. Our main family car is a twin turbo and much better now than any of its larger engined predecessors. And likewise for my little all wheel drive Golf. It's lost two cylinders and 1300cc, yet it is much faster in every sense and experience than its predecessors.
Well they are as the pickups do have the leaf springs. They have to as without them they won't be able to pass the one tonne load barrier and thus can't be classed as a good vehicle for vat deduction etc. A quick review of the reviews reveals it still excels off-road, which is great and hence many farmers and builders have them, I still wouldn't go there if on road is the main bias.On a par with the Amarok now & better than many others.
I was talking with the mechanics (sorry, service technicians) & they were saying one of the salesmen wasn't a fan of the L200 at all, but when this new model came out, he completely changed his mind & rated it immensely.
I know we're comparing different vehicles really, but they aren't like the 4X4's of old anymore.
Maybe it was something else we saw as it was getting dark but it looked very similar to the photo above but whatever it was it was HUGE and the size is what caught our eye
It might be interesting to see what others who took the p*** out of me drive on here........![]()
