Hello everyone.
I am pleased to announce my new training course - "Getting The Most from Your Digital SLR - Portraits."
The first course was announced back in January and took place earlier this month. The course is designed to give attendees a thorough understanding of their Digital SLR and how to use the camera/lens to take great portraits.
The course starts with approximately 90 minutes in the classroom followed by a brief shooting demo and then two sessions of on-location portrait photography, with lunch in between. For the two shooting sessions we split into two groups and either myself or my assistant are with you to offer advice and guidance on both the technical and non-technical aspects of portrait photography.
There are two models with us for the day and they are there for you to hone your portraiture skills. I will have an assistant with me to help facilitate the day and to look after one group while I'm with the other. My assistant for the first course was our very own Damien Light (Slimbert).
After the success of the first course I have decided to offer it to all the members of Talk Photography. Although as it happens three members of TP actually attended that course.
The course takes place in Ely, Cambridgeshire and costs £45 per person with a maximum of 12 per course. It is aimed at beginners and amateurs alike and from the feedback I had from the first course everyone took plenty away and felt they had learnt a lot.
The next courses are on Friday 20th April and Saturday 28th April. The Friday course is half full but there are plenty of places available for the Saturday course.
If you have any questions or would like to take part please indicate below or email me directly at ryan@ryanjarvisphotography.co.uk. You can also find out more about the course on my Facebook page - just search Ryan Jarvis Photography.
Many thanks
Ryan
