weekly NCF15s 52 for 2022 Week 52 Showcase

That's a nicely done picture Nick :D and possibly made to look a lot easier than it is.

Well composed and exposed Nick. Looks good enough to drink :D

Love the patina in the post. You've captured it really well Nick.

Week 27 Water
Initially I was hoping to do a multiexposure sequence which could be combined into one picture but the paddler didn't move enough and the background was too cluttered to work so ended up doing a filmstrip type of sequence instead.

Nice pictures, love the colour of the water and you have caught the action well. Perhaps one too many pictures in the filmstrip for me, as you might be able to make them slightly bigger on screen.

Another who thinks that 6 is too many. Maybe a triptych of 1, 3 and 6 would work possibly reframed to portrait orientation.

Used to do some WW kayaking in my youth (LONG time ago now!) and can remember playing/getting stuck in stoppers!

I'd really like to see it as a multi-exposure. I think that if you auto aligned the images, highlighted them all and converted them to a smart object and then changed the stack mode to "mean" you might get a really interesting image (but then, I'm biased when it comes to multi-exposures) :D

Nicely creative Nick, an unusual approach and it's worked well. Agree that there's one too many. There's a rule of thumb in garden planting/flower arranging (don't ask me how I know), that odd numbers looks much better than even numbers - so e.g. plant 3 or 5 of a plant rather than 4 or 6, or put 5 stems in a vase not 4. I guess it sort of works here to (for me).

Post: a very pleasing image with a nice dof to lead the eye
Water: Nicely captured but agree that they could be narrowed down.

Great idea for the theme. Good example of creative thinking.

It’s nice to see something different and I agree the colours are great. I can’t help but zoom in as I think we do miss the detail when it’s so small on the screen. For me, the second and third from last are the strongest in the sequence,

Yes, tweaked saturation perhaps a bit too much. Looks more garish on my phone than it did on my laptop.

I like how the metalwork creates its own composition. The wear and decay looks great.

Nicely composed and lots of detail. The lines make a strong image.

Another proper job machine there and plenty of dust to prove it's in use.
Nice one Nick

Some nice soft light you've picked out. It makes the workshop look quite atmospheric.

a dusty, dirty, grimy, greasy shot. Good one Nick.

Lovely light!

It's not one that I eat. Mine come in a packet with a Sainsbury's sticker on :)

Nice food image, lovely light. I think that could be a Bolete (which is edible), but don't eat it on my recommendation please :)

Great marrying of the tech and the theme.
You've caught perfect light.

Nice light and IMHO to Mush Room around the fungi, while scrolling the screen up, the picture improves when the dark top part is not there,

Pete

Beautiful shot Nick, I always like a good mushroom shot.

That's a cracking shot. Well spotted and captured.
