A good article that isn't trying sensationalise the accident, I used to attend the local stock car track and have been to dirt tracks in the states, irate drivers have often felt the need to remonstrate with the other guy whom they feel responsible and close calls have happened, it's definitely not a thing to do on a loose surface where a little throttle can send a car seemingly out of control.
I remember the JC/Soper incident but at least they were both off the track and may have been the last lap?, Soper's action allowed his team mate IIRC to win the championship denying JC the win so you can understand how upset he was, and still is the last time I heard him talk of it BTW.
 
A couple of hours ago Tony Stewart was cleared by a Grand Jury in charges relating to the death of Kevin Ward. The DA was wanting Stewart prosecuted on charges of 2nd degree murder and criminally negligent homicide.
As an aside, Ward had traces of marijuana in his body at the time of his death.
 
Common sense prevails.
