My first real book

Congrats Pete. hope this is the start of the rest of your upwardly mobile lifestyle

Congratulations Pete. That's quite an achievement and a wonderful legacy :)

Congrats Pete, I watched your progress from the OcUK early days and I've still got your 1st magazine article. You've achieved a lot in a few short years.
I'll certainly be buying the book, an autograph would be icing on the cake but I like icing.
I could send you it with return postage paid maybe? I doubt that I can get to any TP meets that you'll be attending. :(
:D

For sure :) Lemme know when you get a copy and send me a PM.

a fine achievement Pete! I hope some of the 'we hate Pete' cheerleaders have the grace to be pleased for you!

wicked pete....

i hope it gives you the just rewards for your efforts
i know im new to all this but I am kinda into your hdr shots ( in a kinky sort of way ) ;)

As for sales, liverpool is the most famous place in the world so your customers will come from far and wide ;)

jabber

Nice one Pete and as they say down these parts you must be well chuffed ;)

Congraulations Pete, I know we don't always see eye to eye :p but I have always admired your work and that is some achievement.

Well done and hopefully you will get plenty of sales.

That looks a beautiful book Pete, I've also just placed an advance order.

I would appreciate a signature in it next time we are both on a meet, its always nice to have things signed.

I was in Liverpool last Sat looking round all the Biennial art work, most of it went way over my head but I'm a bit traditional when it comes to art, I like to be able to tell what something is!! I much preferred the beauiful buildings over the art. Looking forward to getting the book.

well done pete I hope it sells well.

congrats Pete, you've worked hard for this :)

Well done Pete, I have long been an admirer of your work, it is truly awesome.

Great that you have now got some of your stuff in print. I will certainly be getting a copy too.

Congratulations Pete, I'm not suprised it has changed your outlook on life....amazing achievement!! :)

Congratulation Pete you must be very pleased, and we all know what your giving everyone for Christmas this year now.

It only $26.21 from Barnes & Noble.com in the USA

Bravo old bean, Bravo! That's going on my Christmas list that is!

well done, you and your work are the reason I bought myself a 10-20 sigma and I bet i'm not the only one..I hope it sells well.

Hi Pete,

Pretty cool book. Picked up a copy in Waterstones last night after seeing it. Some cracking pics in there. As a Manc who has lived in Liverpool for five years now I have come to appreciate the place, and I think your book captures the flavour of the City very well.

Have the copies that you have got a shaded rectangular bit on page 82 that has black speckles in it? Almost like the portrait shot of The Matthew St Festival 2006 has been put over a shaded out landscape pic / box.

Nice one!

Chris :)

Signed, no probs :) I agree about art. Its one of the things I say about my work. You don't need to appreciate art because its just nice photos of Liverpool and I felt that there weren't many people really standing up and showing off the city as a whole. I know there are people doing so and thats what I wanted my contribution to the Capital of Culture to be. "This is Liverpool every day of the year." We're not just 2008.

haha. Grey imports are bad mmmkay :p

Wow cool. First person I know to have bought one. Awesome :D As for p82 I don't have that. Are you sure its not due to the previous page? My copy should be the same as retail.

Hi Pete,

Nope, definately black speckles all over the left hand side of the page. No probs, will get it swapped at some point next week. Probably a printing error.

Well done again.

Chris :)

congrats Pete, i'll be buying this book i think, as Susane said, i've also followed your work from over on OcUK, and i also still have the magazine article from DSLR user magazine :D

Well done dude :). I'll buy a copy when I'm next about. Some stunning shots of the fantastic sights that Liverpool has to offer I've no doubt :) (I haven't seen it yet, but you have good credit lol).

Congratz, well done, bet it feels nice to see it for sale

Nice one Pete, well done. Ordered my copy today.

Congrats Pete, you're clearly well-chuffed:) I'm buying a copy - nice to have books in the bookcase you can point to and say "I sort of vaguely know the author..."

Now, if I enclose a return address label, and stamps, where do I send it to get signed?

Nice one Pete, I've just been down to Waterstones to get a copy, good choice on the cover photo, it really stands out from all the other 'Liverpool' books.

I've seen most of the photos before from you posting on here and you blog, but it's superb to see them all together (and with the quality prinitng, sometimes the computer screen doen't do them justice).

The foreword by Andy Roberts made me chuckle, I used to live next door at Number 62, although I suspect he was long gone by time I lived there.

Well done... doubt that the book will find its way to where I live (Finland), but might have to try and have a look for it once I pop over to the UK before Xmas...

Congrats on the book and keep those stunning pics coming...

Thanks guys. For those outside Liverpool its probably better to go through Amazon. From what I've seen all the local Amazon's "stock" it. I've seen it on the Canadian one and the Japanese one. There isn't enough for every book store in the country and random ones around the world. Makes you think about things when there are books that do that. Huge investment.

When you've got a copy drop me a PM and I'll sort things out :)

Thanks :) Its exactly what I hoped people would think. I didn't want to go with something normal, the Liverpool everyone has seen. I wanted to go with the Liverpool that makes people stop and look up.

Yer totally. 800px wide images are nice but nothing like a nicely printed book that you can keep on your shelf.

Small world eh :) I really adore his foreword. Its exactly what I was hoping for.
