Quite right Leanne. You've pulled it off very nicely too. I did try to come up with something like this, but my brain dropped into neutral :D
 
He He He I also notice the lack of the works (portrait) and wondered if we would get a shot like this, to me you sum it all up very well...

Fits the theme, and well executed...:thumbs:

Communication 2 made me laugh, thank you... it's also a very well taken picture which makes it my favourite of the two submissions.

Self, a clever interpretation of the theme that tells us so much more about you than a sp..... again I wasn't smart enough to think of this so you'll have to make do with a picture of me instead!

The DOF is screwed, tbh I just wanted a shot in, I'm really starting to lose motivation, need a kick up my arse really. But I'm generally unmotivated atm.

Excellent - the irony made me laugh, and every list should start with 'make list' just so one thing can be ticked off! :lol:

The shot works really well, I like the dof and the fact that it does look like a 'working' list. Nice processing, too. :thumbs::thumbs:

Not long to go, now so don't lose your motivation. Just look back at some of the brilliant doggy shots you've taken and how many people have loved them (Missie from a couple of weeks ago for example.) This 52 would have been a lot poorer without out, Shorty. I don't know about a kick up the arse - what about a group hug instead? :)

Ah, it's not a bad shot, definitely not shoe horn material anyway! Group hug could be in order. In fact I did hear a rumour someplace at one time about a possible 52 meet.... Didn't I John :lol:?

I think your being a bit hard on your self tbh, i love the idea and the concept really works (i'm a big list writer)
I think the dof would have worked if the done items were in focus but the not done ones were oof (if that makes sence?).
 
What a clever interpretation of Self. And you're right, it didn't say self portrait. I had thought of doing something similar but couldn't have pulled it off as well as you did :clap::clap:

Organised (:lol:) - I think you are doing yourself down over this one. It fits the theme and I love the processing. Maybe you are feeling a bit outside your comfort zone, maybe you haven't got a lot of time, but it's not showing in your pictures :thumbs:

Finally. And Late. Here is my unplanned, literally taken 2mins ago, Music.[Yessss. Another boring laptop shot.... Couldn't be bothered pulling out my hundreds of Neatly and alpahebtically arranged CDS, so iTunes will do!]

I am going to try and get PAIN in today, if I can 1. to stop me from being late again. And because if I don't do it now, I won't ever. Fingers crossed it goes to plan....

But, as you can see, am still missing confusion :-/, it's gonna be a complete crowbar with a huge nudge for Confusion, but it's not easy for me to try and get this shot...E.g I can't control whether I will, or not, sadly :(

Very nicely done Leanne, the Mac screen (at least on my iMac) is a so and so as it's so bright, but you've controlled that nicely. And it's clearly music related, so :thumbs: from me.

It works well, and screens aren't easy do do well in my experience. :thumbs:
 
OOh I like your organised the dof and processing is really good and makes it a damn sight more interesting and creative than my Organised list! Very well done!

Music - well I've heard of Chaka Khan :D Good interpretation of the theme and a good insight to your own musical tastes :) Nice one! :)

But here's pain for you. The moment the task was announced I wanted to do something about it before it was yet another forgotten week. So luckily I had some ideas right after moaning about the task.

As you can see I have no idea about the whole white background malarky!

My orignal idea was an egg with a perfect zig zag crack in it, with yolk and ketchup pouring out. But obviously that's just not possible. So hard boiled egg to the rescue, and a broken shell is what happened :(
 
:D... very good Leanne, a funny take on it too. I think the orange works better than the egg... to much blank space around the egg and ketchup just doesn't seem right... as for white backgrounds... I know what you mean...
 
I missed Music! Not bad, even if it is a bit lazy :lol:. I still like it though. Great take on what modern music is and how "albums" really are today.

Pain, now this is super! Love both shots! Made me laugh :lol:

Oh, but I do have a 'real' music collection, CDs and all believe it or not. This was part of the laziness I have 100+ displayed ones and they're in such an order I couldn't be faffed to take them off/out cd shelf/case thing and start togging them!
 
Ha - these are fun! :thumbs: I like the colours, set up and use of DOF in the first one. The egg is good, too, though I would be inclined to crop it much closer. Well done!

I like both of these. They just gave me a much needed laugh.

Perhaps a bit too much white around the egg - and it's such a shame that your idea with the yolk turned out to be impossible. That would have been a fantastic shot.

Lovely colours in the oranges though - and you've managed to keep the texture of the skin :thumbs:

Thing is, I like it cos 52 has helped me LOADS with my photography, and I know that with 365s it'll just be filler shots all the time, but I'd like to try and do more than a 52, I just wanna try myself more cos the 52 has really helped me learn a lot. Even though I've rarely got out my comfort zone :lol:

So the only logical step-up is 365..?:shrug:
 
Why not compromise and do a "104" - i.e. two per week? Either 2 versions of the same 52 theme, or the second one related by association, or just totally unrelated. It would be a bit less daunting and would save on the filler shots.

Now that's a good idea.
Or you could do the normal 52 for next year, plus reshoot the 2009 theme for that week.
 
I've been thinking about next year and I've had the mad idea that I should do a personal project as well as a 52. The project would have a photo a week as well - so in effect a 104 - and I'm still thinking about the subject for the project. So I'd have one given but random theme, and one on a theme I've chosen.

How about joining me in my madness? :)

Now where is confusion? Ah, I see... you are confusing me by shooting it out of sequence. I like your thinking :p;)

I also had been thinking about some kind of personal project as well as the 52 for next year ... but I wouldn't touch a 365 with a bargepole!!! :eek:

I will, definatley, cos basically that's what I want, the structure of 52, but I like the freedom of 365. Sort of like my 'second' 52 will be something along the lines of 'pet poses' to help me think of diff compositions and angles/views etc...?

I know some groups on flickr i.e 52weeks of your dog, do a theme each week like 'your dog and a chair' that kinda thing. If it makes sense?
