Nice abstract, works fine for me

thanks, pleased that you like it : thumbs:

Well, another "not so sure" here! I get the idea but for some reason it doesn't work for me. Feels a little like the WB is a bit off and personally I'd be wanting to get some flare in from it to make it a bit more dynamic. that said, shots a shot and it keeps you in the game and you'r being creative which is what its all about. Ps this is nothing to do with my jealousy over your new toy - honest :suspect:

Yeah I see what your mean

I tried light painting once, (a week or so ago in fact) but it failed miserably. I only had a torch and no idea what i was doing, so gave up, but I hope to revisit it soon. Be good to see what you can do and get some advice!

I like the close up shot of the LEDs too, I think you should have rotated it anti-clockwise a bit (so the lights were pointing directly down) and called it a UFO.

Errr - no thanks - you could've tempted me with the snow though ;)

I believe that we still have some of that somewhere round and about I could overnight some I'm sure ;)

Oooh, not sure I want the old solid stuff, I like fresh powder :D

Oh dear, well I'm not sure I've got any of that left in stock, you'll need to contact the north for that stuff ;)

Day 26 - I'll have a stiff one!

Well actually I better just be happy with one of these since I've gotta drive later tonight :( but still it tasted nice after I'd taken it's photo

Yeah and too lazy to find one of the three tripods I own or put batteries in my flash :bang:

It wasn't a criticism, I just wondered. Was just checking out your aperature on this as your dof was nicely thin.

I like a good custard cream, myself....but that shot could convert me! Great focus and detail on that there biscuit!

Mild criticism....expectation of one of my favourite naughty pleasures shot down :'(

Yuk, bourbons!! Good shot though with such a shallow dof!

You definitely took the biscuit with this shot Matt , naughty but nice , my favourite bite!

I thought that you might like them ;) but glad you like the photo

Everyone likes a bourbon :)

:D glad you like it

Interesting absract & looking forward to the light painting shots you get with it. I'd be tempted to crop this closer, take off some of the space on the left and bottom.

As for the bourbon, nice sharp shot, but ewww, don't like them :) Hubby buys them for himself as he knows I won't touch them :)

I see what you mean about a crop on the abstract  and I do the same with some of my biscuits I buy the ones that only I like from time to time ;)

Focussing is spot on but is that the correct colour? I've only ever had chocolate ones (which are much darker brown than this one)..

Considering the iso used its still perfectly clear, even if my old 40d could have been pushed to these levels the photo would have just been mush....technology eh?

The mk3 really is an ISO beast  and that's why I love it :D

Thanks the colours are not that far off, I've left it a touch lighter than reality ;)

Day 27 - Weather Front

What a difference a weeks makes, from covered in snow to the ground clear of snow, and the sun out and shining through this very low rain cloud giving a rather cool if a little ominous lighting effect
