Daily MWHCVT(Matt's) - The Year of the Thousandth

You're right, please don't take one every day..........just on days like today! Love the sky, the clouds, the colour and that little burst of purple at the skyline :) Love that indicator coming across and the trail of white lines.

Glad you like it Sam and don't worry I think even I'd be bored of them if I did this for a 365 only

That works really well with the light still in the sky & the great colour of it.

Thanks Sarah, I'm really pleased that you like it

Great sky Matt, puts my effort from last night to shame!

great shot again Matt - that sky is beautiful

Very disappointed - thought I was going to see Lynx, Cheetahs or a Cobra gob shot :D

Seriously though, it's very nice. Motorways here aren't so busy as in the UK, but I will have a go one day soon ;)

Beautiful Matt! The colours really work well together but the sky just makes this photo!

I wasn't able to get down there :( I was able to go because we didn't have work but I had to help my Dad out a little more than normal today which stopped me from attending at the last minute, I'll have to call into the thread and give my apologies :( glad you like todays photo though

Thanks :D the sky really was the reason that I was out there this evening to do it

Ooh great new toy what cool colours!!

The light trails are of course ace as always...

works really well, good composition, many people seem to ignore that aspect when shooting long exposures

Thanks Colin, composition is one of the key's for me in doing long exposures, the main thing for me now is cloud for me the sky is as not if not a little more important to me in capturing a great light trail, I went to this location because of the wind direction I knew it would work with the location :D

Day 34 - My Precious...

Earlier in the week I invested in a little bit of Silver partially to add to my collection of coinage but also at a little bit of an investment for the future, so I though that I'd show some of the coins that I purchased, I'll be doing some more detailed photo in the future but this is just a little starter to show the majesty of the bald eagle on this coin from the USofA

I have a love for coin's its funny I love these new coins in my collection but my real love is for the really old and circulated coinage, just to think of the stories they could tell, where they've been what they've been used to buy

Looks a super coin, personally would prefer to see it all in focus though....

That will be done soon Jeff, in this instance I wanted focus on they eye, was being a little more arty ;) keeping it clear what the coin was, will be doing some soon maybe some detail triptych's or similar?

Cracking close up photography Matt , always nice to have a collection !!

Thanks Vince, I'm pleased that you like it

Really nice close up of the coins Matt, hope your investment pays off in the future. They will most definately be a better investment than a new lens or something!:D

Thanks Phil, hopefully they prove a good investment though only time will tell ;) hell at least there's a few POTD's in there with them :naughty: worth it just for that  glad you like the photo

Whats the new toy Matt? Looks very effective, Great light trail, and the coin looks a really nice one.

Thanks Michael, I'm pleased that you like them  and the new toy is an LED Lenser V24  it's a now rather pricey torch/light sabre but it's really cool  I'm like a big kid when it comes to light painting

Looks worth the money  Enjoy!

Oh it really is  I'm going to get a lot of enjoyment out of it and should prove very useful on some up coming meets

Hiya! I really like that coin shot, I usually don't like shots like that with one main tone / colour but your just works well. The DOF is awesome too!

I like the detail in the coin and the composition/DOF against the ones underneath.

Thanks Sam, I'm pleased that you like it, have been feeling rather rough today so spend the day in bed while we had all the nice weather, as a result I've gone for more photo's of the new coin's today :D

Day 35 - Going into Detail

Feeling rough as a certain something today, so as some wanted to see a little more detail in the coin from yesterday, that's what I've decied to go for with this montarge
