Congrats on you getting your 5D111, and L lens Matt, bet your well chuffed with them, not having full frame cat comment on how shallow the DOF is on them, like the flowers shot, look forward to seeing more![]()
And here's the man who was telling me a few months ago that he didn't think he needed any other camera than a 450dif we meet up at the next midlands meet and your camera suddenly turns into a 7d it wasn't me. I might go for a used mk2 as a second body should be coming down a bit in value now. you lucky Sod.
don't forget that we have a meet this weekend is the rescheduled SVR meet Nice looking pic Matt. Congrats on the new kit. Really like the colour in there. Look forward to seeing more.

Hi Matt, that has worked really well for me, I love the dof in there, the placement of the tree gives a great impact on the image.

I very much like the tree from the other day - interesting composition.
As to full frame, having had the original 5D I don't think I could go lower than a 1.3 crop now, its just too nice and the 5D3 looks great - although I'm banned from mentioning it in my house now having bored the poor wife to death, although I do sneakily call it the Digit Number Digit![]()
but I used it as a test of ISO and on the 450D I tried to avoid being over ISO400 for this kind of shoot but this was ISO3200 and I'm positive it's cleaner than ISO200 on my 450 Yes, thats one of the two things that draw me to the mark 3, currently I tend to stop at about 1600 on my 1DIII, 800 on my older bodies, that and of course the AF system which although I've yet to see someone compare it to the 1DIII I suspect its going to be close enough so I wouldn't notice.

Hi Matt,
Just checking in you've done some really nice images over the last few weeks. Keep up the good work - Nick
That 3200 looks excellent, way better than my 30d!

As always im liking the flower shots Matt!
Also the tree shot from a few days ago is lovely.
Phil
it's so sharp it's unreal Like it Matt, nice BG bokeh,![]()
Hi Matt, I am falling behind on my commenting. Pleased to hear about your new camera. I wish I had a full frame.
I love the daffodil and rape shots. Daffodils are particularly difficult to get the DOF right and you have cracked it with that photo.
Yes, the bluebells are really slow this year. I have never known a spring like it.
Keep up the good work
Jenny
it's amazing and FF is insane
He is definitely a happy man at his job. Good shot Matt, checked out some of the other SVR threads in the Transport section and it looks like you all had a good day.
Lovely Bluebell Matt, nice and sharp. Really like the SVR shot for today, looks like a good meet.
I really like Day 109, great focusing and definitely something a little different.
The last shot is fantastic as well. I love that facial expression.
I love the train shot, Matt. Great compositionYou are right - he really enjoys his job.
Jenny
