Don't it just:D,i think later in the year when i starts to fall dark around 5 will be epic here:thumbs:

Indeed, I think that we've missed it from this location for this light trail season, though we are coming to the end of light trail season :(

Matt

I saw this one on Flickr this morning and I love it! One of the best of this 366 I'd say.
The location to get 3 light trails is a really good one and the sky certainly adds even more.

Thanks Ben, it's is the most amazing location, I've never managed to get 3 separate trails in before so this was a little bit of a first for me, and indeed the sky is just the icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned

Day 67 - Day's End

This evening I decided to head off up to Burton Dassett to see off the end of the day, it would have course been rude not to take some photo's of it to show what the evening was like

This is a long exposure of this evening sunset, done using a B&W ND110 filter allowing a 421 second exposure @ f/16 ISO100

Thanks Nick, Lifes been a little rubbish to be honest recently but as they say that's life you have to play the hand your dealt :( thanks for your comments I'm pleased your still enjoying calling in  your comments are appreciated

You should give T/L a go it's very satisfying to do

I'm not sure when I will be up at EMA next but I will give you a should once I have a confirmed visit  I've and two trips up there cancelled in the last two months because of cancelled events so it's a good job I hadn't already contacted you

Day 69 - Dreaming of Freedom

Today was on the whole a little dull and gray at least it was as I sit here and make this post it appears that the clouds have parted and the sun is starting to show :bang: but this image/scene just appealed to me this afternoon...

You get the feeling that the horse was looking over the Warwickshire rolling out below it thinking of bright days and the opportunity to get out and play in the countryside, truth be told so was I   I cannot complain though we've had so many wonderful evenings this year for sunsets so in many way's it makes a little bit of a change not to have a sunset

Im liking this, but as to how grey and dull the day has been keeepi thinking maybe better in B&W:thinking:

Thanks mate, I did do a B&W conversion but really didn't like it to the point that I didn't even save it

Matt

That horse is great - you're right it just looks like its thinking about something... I guess thats what happened to Plato :)

Thanks John, it was funny it was just stood on that mound for at least 10 minutes as it was there when I went back too  definitely had something on it's mind

Matt

Love the long exposure. Gorgeous colours - a really great capture.

Thanks Tony, that church long exposure came out amazing, there has been not fancy editing on which is really nice, it's just slight tweaking of sliders in RAW :woot: this last few months I've become a true convert to the power of RAW

Matt

I can't imagine working in anything other than RAW since I got a camera that took them. Even managed to convince the kids at work to start using it.

Never can I now, I'm one of those that started in auto, the worst thing that I'd ever done, I now always advised Av/Tv right from the get go  and then I got PSE and it makes RAW so much better to use

Matt

Love the horse photo matt. The emptiness feels necessary for the photo. The dull clouds are morbid and add to the loneliness of the horse

Cheer's Kev, it was one that I really was wondering about if it would work or not, it looks like it would to me and the comments/feedback seem to point to me being right for one

Now to cook tea and the edit todays POTD

Day 70 - Golden Warwickshire

This evening I went to one of my favourite Warwickshire vistas, sitting near the top of one of the highest points in Warwickshire to watch the sun set, and I was treated to one of the best ones that I've seen this year from this point

Really liking todays matt, the sky is just right for me. Scenery looks good too. The 3 cars round the tower putts me off slightly though.

Phil.

Thanks Phil, you know I did consider taking them out as it would only take me a second to do, but I thought on this occasion I would leave them in to give you a sense of scale in the scene if that makes sense?

Day 71 - Passage of Time

Well with a little but of unexpected and unforecasted clear weather I headed out this evening to do a little star trail. I recently came across this old abandoned property and thought that it would make a great location for a little bit of star trail fun

71/366 (436) by mwhcvt, on Flickr

On this one I quite liked the effect of the aircraft and the fisheye against the normal curves of the trails  the just seem to work so where as I normally would take them out this time I've taken the decision not to :D

This is made of 77 x 45 second exposures @ f/3.5 ISO800
