Hiya Matt,

Meee thinks Michael has been drinking tooooo much of that stuff he has in his signature

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better, soon you will be as fit as a fiddle.

Hey you got the wrong fruit anyway .... it's supposed to be an apple a day keeps the doctor away ... not a banana :p

Take care

Cheers

Dawn :)

I will be out tomorrow, I am actually feeling quite good now, I am hoping to photograph a evening rugger match tomorrow if the light is okay, will take a picture of an apple soon and try and give it a little bit of a twist ;)

I very rarely drink anymore and I miss all the wonderful thinks that drink has allowed me to see ;)

and I had only had lemonade! :)

Hiya guys,

Well it appears I may just see a lot more in photos as I will now have to resort to drinking Baileys and warm wine :gag: for the next week as the fridge/freezer will not be repaired until next week Tuesday/Wednesday.

Not to mention that my campervan failed its MOT today and is going to cost a fortune to repair (and will also only be fixed by next week) ....

So heyho what else can go wrong for me???

Time to crack open the vino :D

I'm starting to think that the new Photo52 theme of 'paradox' is playing havoc in a big way

I'll have to keep myself amused with the fantastic 365's, 52's and others in the meantime to keep my sanity (if that is possible :D).

Bottoms up, ching! ching!

Cheers

Dawn :)

Day 110 - Squadron requesting a flyby

Not the best of quality but that doesn't stop me liking the shot...

Dawn it really sounds like you need that drink, but then you don't need to tell me about the cost of automotive repairs, I would have a 1DIV plus a bag of L Glass if not for the cost of repairing cars :dummy:

Hope you enjoyed the vino

I would be interested in your results from a Rorschach test ( ink blots) You would probably keep someone in work for quite a while!

Matt, I like 110. You have all the wings alternating, I bet you couldnt do that again!
Take care

Day 111 - Who doesn't like a bit of blue ;)

Not really what I expected to be my picture of the day, but was playing around this afternoon while watching this little blue tit waiting for its mate to come out of the box on my back wall.

I say not what I expected because my camera has been taking pictures for the last two hours in preparation for a star trail only to take the card out put it into the computer to find no images :bang:

I'm almost certain that I couldn't do that again, they made a really great surprise to my evening at the rugby.

Day 97 - Warp Speed

I am lucky to have this wonderful old church in the village that I live in so get to take puctures of it when ever I like...

I rather like the orange/yellow colour that the street lights give the scene

Cheers Kev, This was a really pleasing shot, partially because it was actually quite hard to capture because it took a number of test exposures to get the focus on the church correct.

Hope it clears up for you as there is a great deal of satisfaction as you see it come together in the stacking software.

Day 112 - Fish Finder

I have said in the past that for me a part of this 365 challenge is to try out new styles and types of photography, now I have never tried to take pictures of fish before and I did find this quite a challenge. This is my best picture of the evening, I have already considered ways that I can improve this type of photography but I am pleased with this image.

Cir. Polarizer used

I think that I would have achieved better results with a faster shutter speed and using my flash gun rather than using internal flash, so there is something to try next time...

Nice try Matt, not an easy subject I have had a go at this my aunt and uncle keep Coy, not easy thing, try get down low, rather than above and try pick out one fish so the others are DOF, saying that I have no successful shots of them, so good luck keep trying different ideas, polariser is essential

Thanks Dave, I think that your right it is hard to do it really well but I just love watching fish so have no issue spending hours trying to get that perfect shot ;) and I will get it :p

Day 113 - On a breath of wind...

Sometimes in life it can feel as if your just blowing around in the wind, with no control over the direction that your life will take, not nice for the inner control freak, but sometimes great.

I am really pleased with this shot as it was a little bit of a challenge...

Day 114 - Feeling blue never felt so good!!

The Bluebells are fully out now in my nice bluebell location...

A sightly different processing of the same image

Quite unusually for me today I have found it really hard to pick my shot of the day hence why I have shared links to each of my Bluebell images from today...

Hiya Matt

Your bluebell photos are beautiful, well done. Love the vibrant colours. I still have to get round to sorting through my trip to the woodlands the other day. So much going on at the moment I can't keep up

You are doing so well with your 365, keep up the good work

Cheers

Thanks Dawn, I'm having a lot of fun with my 365, and I think this is my best effort with HDR to date, the mad thing is this shot shows about 1% of all the Bluebells at this location there literally are millions of them..

Looking forward to your next update :D

Day 115 - Golden Yellow

Taken just after sunset, I have a lot of respect for photographers that produce such great rapeseed landscapes and I will spend a lot more time playing with the processing on this shot and I am still far from satisfied with it...

Day 116 - In the Garden

Just in the back garden, a number of the photo's of flowers that have been featured in my 365 have been taken in my back garden, I will I promise take a picture of the back garden soon just to show where all these flowers live ;)

Day 117 - Could have been a great shot :bang:

Well this is a weird one, I am really pleased that I have finally figured out the location of Polaris correctly, however I am disappointed that I have messed up the focus on this shot, such a shame as could have made a great image.

Day 118 - Flash of insperation

Again trying to teach myself something new, hear we have a true wireless flash ;) taken as two shots and then merging the areas out of each shot that I required.

Day 119 - Fruity Favourite

Just the kind of shot that is a true pleasure to take, this is a picture of my all time favourite drink, a Sloe Gin on the Rocks, I cannot drink it very often so it is a real treat for me when I have one, a second thing that makes this a really pleasurable photo is that one the shooting side is over I get to drink the subject while editing the photo ;)

Day 122 - HDR 101

I am still treating my Challenge 365 as a learning tool, and in that spirit here for your enjoyment or not is a extreme HDR, subject being my brother-in-laws new play thing...Yeah I would be a lot happier if it were a Lode Lane beast but I am working on converting him and convincing my sister ;)

Hi Matt, just had a look through your latest pics, all great quality indeed. quite like your hdr pic, looking quite good. Now as the name for your plant, I was looking at these the other day, and now I can't remember either, i'm pretty sure it begins with c though

Thanks, I'm just working on today's image as I type this, it is going to be a first for my challenge 365, and only a second for me so quite exciting ;) I really appreciate yours comments and taking the time to have a look through in regards to the plant I am positive it begins with a c but will have a hunt round for the label tomorrow ;)

Day 124 - Field of Yellow

My first attempt at a panorama stitched in photoshop, the only other time that I have done a panorama it was achieved with auto-stitching software so I am quite proud of myself at the moment.

This is made up of 5 frames.

Link to the original size, I highly reccomend checking it out ;)

Day 125 - Speed Camera Race

I have used this as the title only because this is down hill section of the A45 through Warwickshire that has waiting at the bottom of the hill a nice camera just waiting to take your picture ;)

This is my first attempt at a stack light trail, this is made up of 3 x 60 second exposures at f/8 ISO100 with a ND8, ND4 and Grad ND8 attached.

Can I ask you how you put them together then ? as when I try to add 2 or more photos together I can never blend them together

All these were all shot via tripod making sure not to move the camera at all then all I did was load them into startrails.de software and that was it I let the startrails software do the stacking ;)

Hi Matt, both of those are excellent, I have never really tried light trails, but I must have ago at some point.

Thanks I'm really pleased with both of the last two. I whole heartedly recommend having a go at light trailing it's my biggest photographic passion and where my expertise can be found, if I can call myself an expert in any photographic field ;)

Day 126 - Wasted hours.

This was not going to be my photo of the day, I was going to upload to flickr but only because it made me chuckle, but after hours of waiting for lightening that was supposed to be very likely, but never appeared...:bang:
