My experiences has always been good and have used them both for quite a few years but this time it has been rubbish that’s all I can say at the moment.
This seems wrong. Can you please give us some more details.Re my previous response DPD have been unable to find my missing package and have now dropped the case so I am about £500 out of pocket so beware
DPD failed to deliver to MPBAssuming you were selling to them, seems like it's not DPD you need to speak to its MPB? 7.4.10 here: https://www.mpb.com/en-uk/help/terms-and-conditions
I would have though so too, but details are rather scarce, I'm wondering if there is more to this than meets the eye.But surely it was MPB who arranged the collection and therefore have the responsibility to resolve the issue?
Indeed, it’s in their T&Cs I linked to. They cover the case it’s lost in postage. If you arrange the courier yourself then you’re liable, and you need evidence of what you sent (photos of it) but that’s pretty reasonable too. So I assume it’s one of those two cases? But surely it was MPB who arranged the collection and therefore have the responsibility to resolve the issue?
Just refuse the quote and they will return it to you,I'm looking for some advice on a camera trade in I've done with MPB, it's a Fuji XF20 which was in immaculate condition and they gave me a good quote of £390. However they've checked it and reduced the quote to peanuts, they've subtracted £163 for dust affecting the image and they've also subtracted another £85 for condition since I rated it excellent and they've reduced it to 'good'. This has been quite a shock because I had checked the camera for dust since it's a concern with fixed lens cameras and there wasn't any I could see but stupidly I didn't save any images showing that. However I'm also particularly puzzled by the downgrade of the condition, against stupidly did not take any photos of the camera before hand however I thought I was being pessimistic with it since the camera was in perfect condition, I couldn't see any wear marks or anything to show use on it.
It was extremely well packaged with the camera wrapped in its own bubble wrap within the original box which itself so I can't see it's been damaged in transit although it's the only explanation I can see.
I'm not sure what to do now and it's not entirely clear how much it will cost me to get the camera back. I'm also not sure what I want to do given the reason I traded the camera is in is because I'm not going to use it so part of me thinks I should just take this as a very expensive mistake but another part of me thinks why should they get away with this.
Edit - Reading through the thread I see my experience is not unique, I'm leaning towards getting the camera back. Any thoughts appreciated.
Do you have to pay for that?Just refuse the quote and they will return it to you,
Refuse the quote, then perhaps try selling it to Wex - I recently found they were offering better prices on average than MPB, and that's just for a straight sale.I'm looking for some advice on a camera trade in I've done with MPB, it's a Fuji XF20 which was in immaculate condition and they gave me a good quote of £390. With respect, I think you are being a tad impatient. I have had cause to return stuff several times recently and each time I have received full return details within 48 hours, which I think is very reasonable and far better than an immediate automated email acknowledging receipt.Bought a bag from them that absolutely reeked of something like clothes conditioner.
Set my asthma off and gave me a headache too, hate that vile chemical "fresh" smell
Requested a return straight away yesterday mid afternoon and heard nothing since.
Very poor customer service and not impressed at all.
Just hope I get a full refund including my original postage costs.

With respect, you are making assumptions and commenting without knowing the facts.Think I would be more concerned with the fact you have had "cause to return stuff several times lately" tbh.
He's commenting on what you wroteWith respect, you are making assumptions and commenting without knowing the facts.
