hi all
I have been using sony dsc-h1x which has 20x zoom, I also have a sony a200 with voitlander 70mm-300mm f5.6 the pics from this camera have at zoom got too much noise to remove in pp, I can pan and follow birds in flight especially buzzards that we have watched breed and grow over the past 4 years and the many deer around us ,my problem is they are just out of reach of the point and shoot and the a200, I have lost so many shots due to the camera focus hunting on the a200 and the point and shoot gets the pic but again too grainy, so I am getting my next set-up, looking at canon 7d with canon L lens, but I need pointed to the right set up for birds in flight and distance of about a football field, I also take a lot of the dogs on their walks, so am I looking at the right camera first of all, i should have in the region of £2-2.5 thousand but for this it must be spot on to justify the money as I will not have this kind of money again, image quality is something of a distant dream for us as I have very few pics that I can be proud of, some of the work on this forum is astounding, i am setting up a flickr account and will post some of my better pics for any comments,
so equipment ?? body/ lens I am just learning about iso speed apertures etc
thanks
john
