Nope wrong again NO HATE here at all, I am big fan of bikes and the bikers I know are without doubt enjoy the odd session of spirited riding, as do I. As part of the scene I am involved with its a general feeling of let down by the general stupidity many bikers display.
MANY? Really? Do you just go out around biker haunts on a sunny sunday, as most of the commuters I see ride quite sensibly, especially at this time of the year
When driving my cars I keep right on outside lane of Mway just incase a biker is filtering, I am for ever looking for them when in left or centre lanes too and the roads I travel often, I know what short cuts they tend to take and thus set myself up for a biker always being on the centre line on some blind corners, I drive one of my cars like a biker would ride, and am more than aware of their vulnerability and so give them a wide berth. I doubt my style of driving a car would be a hindrance to most bikers.
So if theres a biker behind, why not move over to the middle lane rather than block the lane and try to encourage them to filter, or is this at a standstill, very slow crawling speeds?
Sorry to hear you crashed, did you have your headlight on? My mates all ride with dipped beam they say it makes them more visible. One of them while in his car almost wiped out a biker in broad daylight at a junction with sun behind him,(the biker) said if the biker would have had his headlight on he would have seen him more clearly.....I dont know the details of your accident - but no it wasn't me you hit so its irrelevant. But not insignificant for you.
Motorbikes have had headlights on by default for many years now, you cannot turn them off
Your post doesn't change my experience of some bikers though.[/QUOTE]
All to many to some...
I'll agree, theres some idiot bikers on the road, not as many as idiot car drivers though.
So usual commute this morning, white van just changes lane on a motorway roundabout without looking. Same roundabout a golf decides they don't want to wait in there queue and just pull left into another lane without looking. HGow about the muppet in the Q5 that decided it was a good idea to undertake down the sliproad at pace, wheres theres nowhere to go and caused chaso as everyone tried to join the motorway.
Or the whole motorway travels at 70-75mph on a monday morning and friday afternoon, but everyone is in the outside lane only, so one just cruises at the same speed obeying lane discipline. Doesn't stop the idiots trying to undertake at 90-100mph through all lanes and hard shoulder...
Human nature, there's idiots everywhere, just statistically higher in cars.
