Motorbikes

So what are your bike plans for 2022? New bike on the horizon? New accessories or riding kit? Travels?
My bike has all the accessories I want fitted already, so nothing additional planned for next year. I’m still hoping to take it to Spain in May, but all depends on the pandemic.
What about you?

Very nice brings back memories we had a 250ndx was our only transport for a few years when we got married
Went on honeymoon to the Cotswolds on it

This is my old 1980 superdream in its current state.....
I have new decals for it, as well as a full 2 into 2 exhaust system.
She has only done 16000 miles from new.
the tank looks worse than it is as I stripped the paint, and it's only surface rust.

I've been wrestling with this question for a few weeks now and still don't know what to do, I don't need anything as big as my 1200 gs these days. Since I bought a campervan the prospect of camping on a bike isn't as appealing as it used to be (got the t-shirt ...), a comphy bed and a heater are more to my liking these days - I'd really like a Honda Monkey bike for the back of the camper as well :)

With day out rides having become my norm something smaller could be more suitable, I still fancy a Husky 701 SM and I like the look of the latest Duc hypermotard.

What a dilemma :-)

enjoyed my last ride for a bit today..a quick 154 miles around north wales, mainly dry and clean roads, surprisingly little traffic, great breakfast at the old stores and great company with a couple of mates...hospital Monday and pre-op Tuesday to take the plates and pins out of my leg..hopefully not too long

All the best for the procedure, Dave.

No exciting ride for me today, just the commute to work. I hope you have a more exciting ride than I did.

IMO, "SMIDSY" is an admission of driving without due care and attention, especially these days when pretty much all bikes have headlights permanently on.

surgery postponed to after the new year and maybe feb...hey ho,...on the plus side i can squeeze in a bit more riding

Police have confirmed they will be taking action against the driver who nearly took me off my bike.
Do you have a camera fitted to your bike or you...I use a drift for this very reason...a friend of mine was sat still at the lights last year...a car comes round the corner straight into him...as they are loading richie into the back of the ambulance he could hear thd driver tell the police that richie had rode into him...he didn't have a cam but luckily there were a couple of witness's....I've had a few near misses with drivers...it obviously won't stop them hitting you but it will be evidence at my inquest

I have front and rear cameras fixed to the bike.

Got these back yesterday, K-tech goodness inside now, these should now match the quality of the Ohlins rear shock, and control the front end much better. The rebound control was pretty poor, and the springs appeared to be weighted for a 40kg small person.

Now I just need to sneak out over Xmas and refit them.

I can remember adjusting the preload on my GS550's front end by sticking 2p pieces atop the springs! hard to do on the move!!!

I did similar with a couple of my old bikes. My first job with pretty much any new bike I get now is to sort the suspension, it is the nest money I have spend on any of the bikes I've had in recent years.

With hindsight I should have bought the pauper version of the S1000R and then had that sorted, the electronic stuff was horrible and why I got rid after only 1500 miles.

Me too on my LC350  , when I overhauled and restored it again recently I fitted new springs and heavier grade oil
Originally it had air valves and you were supposed to topup the air with a hand pump the air pressure went a week after pumping it up  :$

First time I've looked seriously at this thread, had a good read through from the beginning. Will now watch the thread and join the postings.

My winter ride.

My first legal bike and the only brand new vehicle I have owned, sure wish I still had it (a photo of a 6x4 print).

A heads up for you all. If you fancy a Bell Bullitt (I know I do), Urban Rider are currently selling the white one for £195. Amazing price.

Just find a Galaxy where we don't need no roads!

8 is enough but I'll bet there's another that you want!!! (BTW, enough is NOT the same as too many - one can have not enough, enough or more than enough but rarely too many!!!)
