My borther got a young blonde girlfriend from Poland. All you sent me was a bit of plastic and a few cd's....

Anyway - I've had no response from Doug yet, so rather than wait and slow things up, I'm going to pop across to CopeImages today. He's promised to turn it around sharpish so on Monday it should be away to either Doug or hyakuhei.
 
Well, I've used it, Guy(copeimages) has used it.

I had no reply from Doug and hyakuhei seems to have used welly's (travelling spider 3).

I have used one before but I'd like to use this one too, partially as the S3 app is telling me its time to re-calibrate and I'd like to see if the panels have shifted calibration at all. I waited in line like everyone else so please send it on to me :thumbs:

I have a quick question to everyone, which may have been asked before, but I'm not going back through 12 pages of posts to see :bonk:

During the calibration it asks you to reset the monitor to default, this sets my RGB to 50/50/50, brightness to 100, contrast to 70 and Gamma to 0. Once the calibration is done, profile created and set as the default, am I right in thinking that the profile itself then controls the actual Brightness, Contrast and Gamma to the screen as I expecteed to have to adjust these on the monitor as I did for the RGB settings during the calibration, which ended up at 48/52/50 to achieve the closest 'difference' value (I got 0.001, which is quite a good attempt at <0.5).

Yeah, the profile adjusts the signals going to the monitor, so once you have profiled the screen, just leave the monitor buttons alone. :)
 
I have a question, maybe a bit stupid (actually Im pretty sure it is stupid, but here it goes). My monitor (HP w2207h) has sRGB (that's what I am using on my camera, photoshop, etc) setting in it already, how does that compare to real calibration with the spider? Is this just a monitor gimmick or it's actually not that bad? I should explain that when I chose that option on my monitor everything (including brightness, contrast, coulours) changes

Calibrator has now been posted out today SD to ^Demon :thumbs:

Note that Chewlip and Tuxgeek have been missed out as neither have been on TP for a number of weeks. I'm sure that if/when they return they can slot in somewhere as technically they have waited in line like the rest of us :shrug:
