mich66 - my 52 (week 22 - catching up slowly)

thanks for the comments, appreciate it.. think flames are a bit out of my depth for now ;)

I am Lightning

Great film... great toys (we have loads)... and great reflection. Shame it's not portraying a bit of speed with some motion blur, but otherwise nice. :)

Love the reflection and the negative space on the lhs - nice image!

Phil

Sorry to sound like a broken record, but good lighting, fantastic reflection and good use of empty space

thanks ever so much for comments.. gawd knows what i'm gonna do for the next theme!

Excellent Michelle, love the reflection, and spot on lighting

thanks for comments.. not sure about this weeks offering.. might change it if inspiration strikes before sunday! :)

past to present...

things I learned.. doing a triptych is a pain in the backside..

That looks really good as a triptych, I know how difficult they are :D. But IT NEEDS TO BE BIGGER 1024 X 512 for a panoramic :rules:. I'll wait patiently while you re-do it. :bat:

;)

I really struggle with resizing :gag: always change a copy of the original to 1024 wide or high for posting on flickr but didnt think I could put that size on here as thought it was too big as its 1024 x 340.. resized on photobucket to 800 pixels wide, hope thats better?

Isn't there supposed to be a forth picture where it turns into a Canon?

Really great looking shots. I wish I could find a location like this in my place to take shots.

thanks guys.. appreciate the comments :)

was hard enough putting 3 images together steve, so no chance on the canon i'm afraid :p

hehe, now I'm just laughing. First thread I find after posting my own and you did the same thing as I did :D

Great minds and all that. I think it works great as a triplicate thingy whatsit, it never occured to me to do that and seen as it is you get the feeling of passing through the ages

You've achieved lovely colours, lighting and 'poses' in your triptych - I love it.

I confess I can remember using one of those box cameras when I was a child . I don't think it was quite as old as that one, though. It was practically impossible to see anything through the viewfinder on a bright day.

thanks all.. I doubt very much the cameras would ever work again, they've been stuck up in an attic for the last 10 years at least and god knows how long before that.. the brownie has 1925 on the inside and the biggun has lots of bits with it, lenses and plates etc.. I wouldn't have a clue..

oh and the D60 is my daughters ;)

Very nice idea. Well shot and put together. I do like your background. Lighting is a little harsh on the nikon unfortunately. Perhaps some photoshoppery to age the first two progressively to see what it looks like (not necessary just a thought).

I really dig the idea. I think to make it perfect you need the same angle for every shot so the table is straight and merges into one through the three shots.

Lovely idea Mich and the hard work with the triptych has really paid off. Nice feel to all of these shots and the lighting is spot on.

I think to make it perfect you need the same angle for every shot so the table is straight and merges into one through the three shots.

I know that it's incredibly picky, but I was thinking the same thing - It would probably be really painful, but it could do with having the table running as a straight line all the way through.

Nice, I like the idea behind it and they way you've done it too

thanks all.. I did notice after posting that the table could have done with a tweaking to make it the same in each image but was such a faff with doing the pesky triptych then resizing that I left it, lazy I know! :)

ideally I would have like the brownie face on in the middle but felt it would have been a bit bland.. the big one is huge in comparison so had to zoom in closer for the other two so guess that accounts for the table.. thanks for comments everyone, appreciate it!

I can't see the picture and I've refreshed my browser, are you off playing with it?

strange I can see it ok?.. leaving it as is, might change the one I have on flickr this is on photobucket.. perhaps thats playing up?

I like that Michelle... very well done.. I think that the slight rotation between each image in the tryptych works very well
