Hi all..

this was taken with the 'curved' theme in mind but wanted to do another shot.. that would have meant a trip into manchester and in this weather its a big no no unfortunately!

I know what you mean about the weather. The shot I was going to take is unavailable due to adverse weather :(
 
Good shot, fits the theme well.
 
I like that.works well. Took a few pics of lobster pots on the North Norfolk coast on Sunday (with curves in mind) but went with the paraglider in the end........

Well I'd be really chuffed with it.
Definitely on theme and some lovely textures with the baskets, ropes and grass. I love the PP too.
Would have been nice to have a really intense blue sky in the background, but I guess that's one thing that you can't control :lol:
 
365 and a 52, well I know you can do it.

This shot fits perfect for the theme. :thumbs:

think it is the sky.. agree a vivid blue one would have been better, but one of those is a rare thing in galway this time of year.. well, anytime really :)

Good stuff, composition, clarity and colour are all spot on. Well lit and fits the theme.

week ones image is very good image in its own right and fits the theme well.

weeks 2 - This is lovely shot of a Lily, very sharp and DOF is spot on. One small glitch IMO is, my eye is drawn to the stigma but keeps getting pulled by the leaf in the BG.

Very good choice for the poem.
 
great shots and all, but I'd just like to say michelle that your quite insane for doing a 365 AND a 52 all at the same time! lol!

I like it, only thing i would say may improve it would be to clone out the green leaf in the background as it breaks up what is otherwise a lovely profile of the flower
 
I'd like to see the leaf in the background cloned out, but it's a beautiful image.
I like it a lot. I need to do more black background photos.
 
thanks for comments everyone.. didnt even think about the leaf as was trying to focus on the pesky stamen things too much... violet, I agree ;)
 
Great poem shot. Super sharp

I have some Lilys at the moment and was trying a similar shot the other day, did you just use black card for the background?

dan, I bought a cheapo pop-up light tent thing on ebay, this has different coloured back drops you can velcro up so pretty much use these if the background is naff where i'm taking a photo
