Man shoots daughters laptop.

having been through the 15-year-old-woe-is-me-why-do-i-have-to-do-everything phase, I can gladly say this father is totally in the right.

Just showed it to my son and warned him ill borrow grandads 12 bore and that will make more mess lol

ha ha..... so redneck guntoting... but at the same time quite amusing....

Thought this was great!

I don't have kids yet but do have a 13 year old niece who is hated by the whole World and has nothing..... excluding her iPod, iPad, blackberry, laptop and XBOX360 with Kinect!!!!!

You try and tell her just how lucky she is then she does the "I'm depressed and no one understands me" routine..... depressed..... de-****in'-pressed!!!! Seriously, kids need a realty check like this!

Awesome :)

on reading some of his posts on his facebook page

I think he may have underestimated the impact of doing this. Doesn't look like he'll get his normal life back anytime soon

From reading the posts on FB, it looks as if he's been plagued with impersonators and copyright infringement.

What's so hard to believe about that? When I was 16 I used to get up at 4am and do a milk round before school, then go collecting money after school.

Plus I did chores.

What's the big deal about him saying he was a fireman?

Yes, he does come across as a typical American redneck who thinks that a gun is the answer to every problem. And as for believing that HP bullets explode - they do, but only in certain circumstances.

Assuming that he is actually the owner of the laptop (and that he had not given it to his daughter) couldn't he have achieved the same result by locking it in a cupboard or giving it to someone who would appreciate it?

didnt he say something like he was going to school , doing two jobs , all the chores and he was a ( part ? ) time fireman ,,,at sixteen ????

must take them young in the states then ,,( you got any proof he's telling the truth ? )

a voluntary one or a reserve fireman i guess, I mean unless there are any americans on this forum, how do you know what they are allowed to do over there? You can join the army at 16 here. as a volenteer or reserve he was probably like a cadet or one of those guys who washes the fire engine or helps out with the station chores.

It's not unheard of in north america for small places to have volunteer fire crews (with no paid staff), including younger guys helping out.

He should be locked up. Dangerous madman. :(

Man says something on a video and then uploads it for the world to see. Ummmm yeah, there's a good chance he isn't lying, otherwise anyone who knew him back then would point that out

You seriously just said that because a man uploaded himself saying something, there's a good chance he isn't lying??

what a pratt, his answer to his 15 year old daughters growing up problems is to give her example like this, and I bet he thinks he is being a good responsible parent. I hope he never has any serious issues to handle if this is his foolish answer to trivia.

Funny if it's a joke! But think its something we'd all like to do...and most of us would have the sense not to!! Just what is he trying to teach his daughter?? Put a few bullets in everything that riles you???

Well it was a bit extreme but we are having one hell of a time with our daughter and she is only 10... yeah 10.

I do know of someone who's daughter (16) would not tidy her room, it was a mess and all she wanted to do was play on her games console that her Mom had spent a fortune on the previous Christmas (including a big new TV)

The mother walked into the room and said "If you don't sort it - that (pointing at console and TV) will go out the window....

The daughters reply was "You wouldn't dare....."

BIG MISTAKE

The Mom grabbed them both (TV and console) and threw them from the window...

The daughter just sat quiet - ...... the Mother then marched out the room away from the daughter and cried her eyes out at what she had just done.....

But...

The daughter has since been like a new kid with no more attitude or problems
