Hi,
I'm looking to attempt a bit of Macro photography. I've messed about previouslt with Macro filters but I'm thinking of buying a dedicated Macro Lens.
I'm considering a Canon FD mount lens of approx 100mm and buying the relevant FD-EF adapter to fit my 400D.
I know I'll not be able to Auto Focus, but that doesn't worry me too much, I simply want to see how much use I'd get out of it before deciding to purchase a dedicated EF/EF-S macro lens.
My question to you all is...... Is this a good approach? will I get a true macro experience or will IQ be less than I'd get from an EF ?
Any thoughts gratefully received.
Thanks
Andrew
