Really wish I had spent the little extra and got the MBA instead of the MBP. I stuck with the MBP because of the CD drive, but in the 8 months I've had it I haven't put one single disc in it!
I've been having a close look at the Air as well as the new ultrabooks that are hitting the market. All very interesting indeed, certainly light and portable. There are a couple of 13" ultrabooks that look superb (Asus and Acer) and there are also some 11" ones from Asus and Samsung.
Overall, prices remain pretty high though in the £800-£1000 range which is a lot of pictures to sell to cover that value.
check out Dan Carr's website he goes in depth on the MBA for use in the field instead of a MBP
no problem, i hope it was usefull. i personally will not buy a mac be a air or a pro. just a simple notebook insert a ssd, max the ram out and install XP.
Dunno about the Air Allan but I can't see why it wouldn't be up to the job?, I personally use either a Dell Lattitude 6400 or a Macbook Pro 13"!!. Kind regards Graham.

Ummm no... All Airs have 2 USB ports, the 13" also having an SD card slot. They all also have a Thunderbolt port, which is starting to be supported and is the fastest connector available

Regarding a post higher up, I use my 15" or a 13" mbp. Start up on mine is about 30 secs, that's with the standard slow as HD
