Lr update today

Thanks - supposedly reduces the occurrence of the 'black panels' on the Mac. Fingers crossed!

Hopefully it will also update the stupid bug where it exports the unprocessed file over and over and ignores all your work!

It have never happened to me. Have you tried to export it manually without predefined settings? It could be something wrong with settings after LR update...

The LR update seems to have screwed up on my Mac, when I look at images I have taken with blown highlights those areas are red for some reason and this was not the case before the update.

Did you click the arrow to the top right of the histogram? This would show blown highlights as red.

As @fabs says, surely what you are describing is the 'highlight' clipping tool in action ;)

Has anyone else's LR suddenly started crashing?

I've never had a problem before but it crashed 3 or 4 times last night, and again just now.

Hmm can't get it to work at all now. Every time I enter the develop tab, it goes. Really frustrating, maybe it is a problem with my copy/files/laptop ?

It was doing it on the photos I took yesterday but just tried opening a different folder from a week ago when everything was fine and the same thing happened.

This is what I get.

I'm getting an update my Camera Raw needs to be update. Problem is, it was! Now I get the "Render in Lightroom" or Open anyway each time I go into Photoshop

Me too. I'm sure I already updated to a higher camera raw that the error message mentions...off to check..

Are you all using CC or perpetual license?

Also, whether Mac or PC?

From what I have read It seems Mac has more/most issues but not clear if CC and Perpetual.

At the moment I am still using CC on Windows 10 PC.

As mentioned I have yet to install this update, actually I think I am a couple of updates behind on my perpetual license (v. 6.6.1 ?)

And also on W 10 64 bit Pro

NO update for me today just Photoshop and Camera Raw wonder why

Just ran AAM withib LR to see what updates available

I get shown the LR 2015.10/ 6.10 and the PS Camera Raw 9.1.1 (CS6)

As I said I am in no rush to update yet..................will wait a little longer to see how things settle down :)

Still crashing. Still no sign of any updates. Still don't know if the problem is at my end or 'theirs'. Good job I don't need it for a business. :(

I've just updated Win 64 to 6.10 and it has wiped my user presets.

It seems to happen when I switched to developer panel. I turned off the graphics card acceleration and it made things slower but not had a crash yet.

Thanks, I'll give that a go. That's the one thing I haven't tried. I've made sure all my drivers are up to date, I performed a disk cleanup which sped LR up and I thought had cured the problem for an hour or so but it hadn't, and have even had a LR update a few days ago, but it's still crashing.

I'll try that and see what happens.

Not sure how it would be if it were slower though, it's crawling at the moment already!

Well, seems I'm suffering the same new 'crashing on selecting the develop module'. I came here to ask if anybody else was having a problem and it seems I'm not alone. :(

mine crashes when I select to import from SD card. After import its fine.

That is how my LR CC started too, each time I`d click on develop mode it would go crazy and close down. Only two more weeks till I say no thanks for a renewal to the CC.

There is a note on the Adobe site that says:
"We have an issue where customers are unable to use the Develop module with GPU enabled. This only occurs when using an AMD graphics card using driver Version 17.4.4 (released 4/23/2017) on Windows."
Would it be related to that?

Mine's been happening before that going by the date of my first post and checking the driver I now have a later version than that that didn't cure it.

Not sure what I've done to it now - I couldn't find the setting when I first selected the GPU for LR but I think I've turned it off and LR seems more stable and much faster.
