We got a call this afternoon from the woman who looks after one of our horses to say that she was in the field with Orangegrove (Orange for short) when she dropped down dead in front of her, no warning, no distress, nothing. The vet seems to think it was either a massive heart attack or brain hemorrhage (sp?) and obviously Jan is devastated.
What makes it worse is that she was in foal to a top notch stallion so technically we've lost two today.
