Looks very promising for the Brexit Recovery?

Not here it's not. A little light drizzle this afternoon, other than that it has been sunny.

30 degrees, full sunshine here, but then I am approx 3750 km away from home.

Interesting talking to the different nationalities.
The Germans and Spanish are very unforgiving, withdraw everything and negotiate hard, no cherry picking.
Greeks in general think it's a good move, but then nearly every Greek hates their Govt, the EU for the austerity measures and wish they'd never joined. However they all think it's ok to not pay taxes, or as little as possible...
The French seem mostly indifferent
The Russians are loving it, the break upon the EU just as glorious Russia are becoming strong again. Let's not mention Ukraine, Crimea etc.
Easteuropeans don't understand it at all. They do t go over to scrounge benefits but to work hard and earn money.

My dad's lot did.
They hailed from Rayleigh.

Rayleigh isn't too far from Southend and probably one of the first areas of Essex that East Londoners infiltrated.

does anyone actually know what that means?

Edit OK got it, I've heard it a few times and wasn't thinking along those lines

None of their family can be traced back to London.
Essex has it's accent just like everywhere else in the country.

Back on track. Just read that 70% of UK food exports go to EU. Major food companies are looking at alternative strategies.
They only trade with Europe as the Eu prevent trade elsewhere

There's more - Spexit/Ibexit, Gexit, Poxit, Porxit/Porexit, Danexit, Swedexit, Latexit, Lithexit, Ausexit (particularly good that one because "aus" ...), Itexit, Nedexit and so on.
All words are made up of course, a very large number made up by Will Shakespeare ;-)

We can do better than that though. I've seen:
Italeave
Czech-out
Outstria, or Austria La Vista
Bye-gium
Latervia
Finnish
Departugal
and probably others that I can't remember.

And I've just made up
Done-mark
Go-land

If we had PR and they called an election tomorrow, then given the chaos with the other parties UKIP would probably be in government - is that a scary thought or what?

I'm always a little suspicious of unnamed spokespersons that support a particular papers view.
In the terms of car exports, Germany already have a higher tariffs to countries outside the EU. Most of their vehicles are seen as premium products so it wouldn't affect the branding too much.
If they have higher tarrifs then how come consumer pre-tax prices are still much higher in the UK then say the US.

I'll have the higher tarrifs please if that then means my Mercedes is £15K cheaper.

That's not true. Walkers (shortbread) have good business in USA already.

It's the price you sell Into the market, happens with all goods, for instance there's a 30% markup selling broadcast products to the Japanese over Europe prices, yet a 10% discount to the US as they wont pay more.

Same with cars. US ar quite protective of their a auto industry so foreign vehicles attract a premium, so the price is discounted to sell into the large market. Small Japanese cars seem to do ok, possibly as they have decided to make a small profit on a large volume.
Again the luxury brands do well because they have a niche, but they still have to sell at a price, then make it up with options :)

The Eu negotiated trade deals for its members with a number of countries, but those countries have a veto, hence why they take so long.
I think Peter Lilly said the total Euro contribution is about 7% of our our net export to the EU, but currency fluctuations have a far greater effect on trade and exports/imports than the trade deals.
For the niche products in demand there will always be a market in both directions.

That's trade agreements, doesn't stop any member exporting, unless there are sanctions, but you just have to accept tariffs etc. Scotch whisky is another example.

Edit: UKTI website. In 2012 UK exported £135bn of goods to USA.

If we had a trade agreement the process would be easier and exports would be expected to be higher.

I also hate the shortened words that some "DJ's" on the radio use, that Sarah Cox is one of the worst culprits, closely followed by that babbling idiot, Vanessa Feltz!
"Spesh" "delish" and many others, I'm standing for election in the talk f*****g English party (y)

Are you a racist? hee hee

And further doom and gloom? I mean everything seems to be quite calm, even the weather is nice; blue skies, sunny. So were the remoaners wrong?

Remember the guy who jumped of the 50 storey building and said, as he passed the 15th floor, so far so good!
Wait for the landing, which is a long way off yet;-)
