As I understand it the FTSE 100 is heavily biased towards companies dealing between third parties not involving UK and you need to look at the FTSE 250. Markets are calming down because they now see there may be 2 years before it all goes titsup, if it does.

Whilst I agree with that in principle, from an international perspective it is still a good comparison. Especially from an inward investment perspective and general international view of the UK, including the effect on peoples pensions etc. But yes, FTSE250 still got a little bit to go to get back to the same level. It will come, the 100 bounched back much quicker than I would have thought.
 
That Downfall is so close what Boris must have been thinking after the result!
 
Hate to remind you all but we have not 'brexited' yet, that won't happen for 2-3 years. The recent market turbulence was just knee jerk panic in reaction to the referendum result. Depending on what can be agreed with EU, IMO the real trouble could start when we are out. Especially if the EUs desire to prevent contagion continues to prevail as their main objective.
 
A week later and still that word is everywhere!!! :runaway:

I also hate the shortened words that some "DJ's" on the radio use, that Sarah Cox is one of the worst culprits, closely followed by that babbling idiot, Vanessa Feltz!

There's more - Spexit/Ibexit, Gexit, Poxit, Porxit/Porexit, Danexit, Swedexit, Latexit, Lithexit, Ausexit (particularly good that one because "aus" ...), Itexit, Nedexit and so on.
All words are made up of course, a very large number made up by Will Shakespeare ;-)

Yes I realise all words were made up.
But these words were made up to appeal to the lowest common denominator, two or more words chopped and squeezed together or simply made up), because people cannot be bothered to use the perfectly good words which already exist because it takes too much typing.
Lazy.

People from Essex have no accent to whine. Whoever you have heard, doesn't originate from Essex. Probably East London overspill like the TOWIE lot.
