Have come to the conclusion that my one and only lens Nikon 16-85mm, doesn't go long enough for what I am looking to photo. I am looking to have a longer focal length for long lens landscape, wildlife (mostly animals more than birding) and possibly occasionally use at the local airshows at Duxford. Lens will be used on a Nikon D7000.
I have had a look about for lens in my budget which is about £500. I have looked at the Nikon 70-300VR, the Tamron 70-300, aswell as bigger lenses like the Nikon 80-400 (non AFS one), Sigma 120-400 but am none the wiser on what to get. I also don't know if waiting a bit longer and saving up some more to get myself something like the Nikon 70-200 f4 and get a 1.4 tele-convertor to go with it to add range when required.
Anyone got any good suggestions on anything they have used and would recommend or to avoid?
