I'm just finishing off a 35mm roll of Tri-x shot at 800 and I've realised I'm not sure what to soup it in. Its off my new born so I'd rather avoid the dark and gritty look that Rodinal will give so what else can I use that will keep? I generally shoot very little fast film so I mostly just keep rodinal in the house, I've got a pouch of rollei's D74 but I don't know how well it will cope with a pushed film, last time I developed anything in D74 I found you needed to rate the film a little lower so a 400 would only get 320. My 2/3 used gallon of D74 will be long dead and I don't think its worth mixing up another gallon packet for it to go bad under the sink. I don't object to buying something that'll keep though a small bottle would probably be ideal.
