I've looked but so far not found any posts referring to my problem. I've tried to contact Adobe Support but so far they remain silent. I'm not expecting a solution here but would just like to know if anyone else has had the same problem and might point me in the direction of a solution.
I am running an iMac with El Capitan 10.11.4 and when prompted to update Lightroom CC (2015) in Creative Cloud, it returned an error. After several attempts over the past week or so, I decided to consult the Adobe Support site. Without going into the details, I reached a stage where the advice was to uninstall LR and reinstall. My big mistake was to follow this advice! This failed and continues so to do. The result is I have no LR CC now. Also, as I am in a region with no landline broadband service, I find I have used up ⅔ of my monthly mobile broadband allowance trying to get LR CC to download. Therefore I cannot risk more download attempts or I will have no broadband allowance left! I am waiting for a response from Adobe Support but I suspect they will simply refer me to the same procedures I've already been through.
Fortunately I still have LR5 and full backups of the original photo files and catalogues.
Any pointers from fellow sufferers will be much appreciated.
