I think the word is Schadenfreude. I'm so happy for Lewis!
God damn Glock. So annoyed that arrogant self centred idiot won it :annoyed:
What, you didn't want a BRITISH World Champion, shame on you Matt

Yeah, self centred idiot like Hamilton...................and Senna.............................and Prost..................and Schumacher.......and probably every other great F1 driver there has been.![]()
True, but they had a quality I admired. Hamilton doesnt.
And what quality was that?
Tbh, I cant really remeber the Senna era.
I loved Schumacher. He was a great driver. Fairy nuff he cheated a lot but he was great.
If Hamilton had started off in a crap car and then gone to Mclaren and then won it it would be a different story. I just think it is pathetic how he has all this publicity. He dad is a knob to.
so hang on matt, because he fell into (well fell into being the wrong word, hes worked bloody hard to get where he has, winning most championships on the way) one of the best teams on the grid and has the support of his father (as has massa, as i would suggest the majority of the pitlane) you degrudge him the win.
you claim hes arrogant, and then claim to love schumacher who was argueably arogant as a driver.
and the publicity, he comes into f1 and is so instantly quick, as a young man hes therefore going to get such publicity because thats what the british press do, they hype the living crap out of everyone (button being a prime example in F1, henman in tennis etc) and then kick them when they fail to deliver

I can see were Matt is coming from to be honest.
Last year all the "Rookie" comments got on my nerves. He'd been racing with McLaren for over a decade and was no way a rookie. The sycophantic ITV commentary also put me off him.
He is a good driver, but has gone straight into one of the best cars, is he another D Hill who only won because he was in the best car or can he last the course and still win in a poor car, only time will tell.
Good grief.
OK, lets explain motor racing - there are those that are supremely talented and never make it, because they never got the breaks or their face/attitude/etc didnt fit [Tommy Byrne for example]. There are those that lack any inate talent but learn to be pretty quick, and do the right things and ultimately get a few breaks and work bloody hard to make it to the big league [David Couthard for example], there are those that have some talent and are a modern marketing dreams that do make it, BIG time [Lewis Hamiliton for example], they work bloody hard too, yes, certain things are handed to them, they have 'front' and an ability to say exactly the right thing, but behind it all, they graft their asses off to get there! There are also those that have the same marketing dream that show only the simplest of talent [Bruno Lalle...err, sorry Senna, for example] but will sell so much advertising space, it doesnt matter how crap they are, the dollar signs are what counts. Finally, there are those that are the same as the first category, but the face fits at the time, they get the breaks and they deserve the rewards [Micheal Schumacher for example, or even better, Alain Prost]
F1 is not a sport, its a business, thats once a fortnight spends 2 hours on a sunday afternoon having a bit of a race. For the rest of the time, its all about the dollars. Don't ever forget that, because you can be sure no one in the paddock ever does.

yeah he was.. it was his first year. therefore he was a rookie.
at the end of the day he was a rookie team mate to the current world champion and he kept beating him.
this year he was team mate to the highly rated Kovaleinen and beat him hands down all the time.
I dont really see why people hate hamilton so much.
Schumacher was a brilliant driver but he cheated! the sad thing is he still would have been brilliant if he wasnt such a cheat!
the 'legend' of Senna...
Who was arguably as much, if not more of a cheat than MS. Japan 1990 (IIRC) anyone? Senna was quite prepared to kill people to win the world title.
Not getting into the argument just want to say.
Congratulations Lewis !!
Glock lost 3 secs in sector 1, 9 secs inn sector 2 & 6 secs in the last sector.
This is almost identical to Trulli, the other slick shod Toyota, so I doubt he slowed for Hamilton.

Can you qualify your comments, even remotely? Are there "wider issues" at play here I wonder?
Who are you shouting for in the US election? And why?Just curious!
I am NOT a racist. Do not ever accuse me of one. Thank you.
P.S not intrested in elections.
Listen. I dont like Hamiltons attitude. I dont like is over-protective dad. I think he should have had a few more seasons before he won it. I think he should have built up to this over 5-6 seasons.
At the end of the day it is my opinion.

Right lets end this arguement.
I respect Lewis for what he has acheived. He is British and the Number 1.
I just dont like his attitude.
End of.
Lets leave it and celebrate!!![]()
