I streamlined my kit since getting my 5D Mk III in order to do the body justice, part-exing some Sigma and non L Canon glass on the way.
I'm now down to Canon 8-15mm L, 17-40mm L, 24-105mm L, 100-400mm L, 85mm f1.8 and a Tamron 90mm Macro Di.
Future buys will probably be limited to a Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS L, a Canon 100mm f2.8L Macro and maybe, just maybe a Sigma 300-800 if one pops up secondhand at MPB !![]()
Like guitars, you can never have enough.
so we could change the title to how many lenses have you ownedTrueI just bought my mates Fardia m26, even though I've got a Martin
Lens wise, I can't see how you can get 18 lenses unless you have different brand bodies. As far as I can see, if you get the best for each focal length you wont need that many. Maybe chuck in a couple of overlapping walk about lenses.
Personally I've got:
Sigma 12-24, Canon 35L, Sigma 50mm 1.4, Canon 70-200 F4L, Canon 85L, Canon 100L (replaced my Sigma 105). At some point I'll upgrade the 12-24 to the new version, and the 70-200 to the new 2.8mkII but the only other lens I can see me getting currently would be the Bigma.
Oh, just remembered I gave my sister my nifty fifty, sigma 70-300 and the kit lens (with the 300D and the 30D).
Some people don't like zooms :thumbsdown:no canon owner should be without the 70-200 f2.8 IS L mk1 or mk2 imo

Erm, well over a hundred including all my old legacy glass, been meaning to sell some of it for ages, trouble is every time I try and sort out ones to go I end up putting them back with the intention of giving it another try first, hence the amount![]()
Now let's not start on the subject of "how many watches do do have..." hmmm

Can anyone explain this concept of 'too many'?
