Hi,
I currently own a 350D with a 18 to 55 mm USM lens which is idea for landscapes. I also find its good for studio work (I'm only at beginners level).
With my previosu SLR I has a Sigma 28-300mm lens, which I found useful for taking pictures at motor racing events. As Canon and Sigma didn't communicate well on how things would work, this lens no longer works on my DSLR - it always over exposes, and when manually set to under expose it still comes up a bit too white.
I am therefore looking for a lens which will enable me to do close up shots at motor racing events, the farnborough airshow (this week) and any nature type things which aren't that close. I was thinking of a canon EF 75-300mm f4/5.6 USM MK3.
Has anyone got any other suggestions? I know I will have a gap between 55 and 75mm but I don't think I will use that enough to worry about it at the moment.
Thanks for any help and advice.
