I think just over the line for damp Tim. Not sure if I really get the "wicker chair on the head" concept though
Let me introduce you to the designs of International Fashion Designer - Pierre Garroudi (ignore his original instagram though, it was hacked and meta will do nothing about itI think just over the line for damp Tim. Not sure if I really get the "wicker chair on the head" concept though![]()
Those colours certainly pop, and the damp table works
Fab colours and reflection, and no-one will question the damp theme with the droplets on the table, especially to the keeper of the scrolls![]()
Cheers all. It was good to get the reflections done (1st tech I think I've done in a year !!!!) and the shoe horning for damp wasn't as much as I often go forNice bright colours and reflections Tim, ditto Bebops comments.
Pete

That does the job nicely - and the tech too.
Nice shot Tim, I thought that she was a mannequin until I read your commentary.
I really like this shot, just the right balance of seeing the reflection and the model. getting the photography exhibition advert in is a bonus! Leaving the buildings at the edge helps show what we're looking at.
An effective image - and the reference to Wildlife Photographer is a nice bonus.
Great image that ticks all of the boxes!!
WPOTY - lol. Though I'd not want get her livid.I think you've won....... WPOTY.
I like that, there's an interesting subject amount all the chaos.
Cheers Everyone. I must admit I do like this one. That’s just great Tim. I like that it shows the surroundings for context too.

The colours were what drew us to the spot, I've got a great shot of Ale behind this, peaking out using the hard light to cast shadows across her face.I love the colours. Her pose looks like she might have been thrown out of a pramDo you have to direct the models, or did she pose herself?
Thanks Tim. I wouldn't have a clue, but she looks like she knows what she's doing. She looks fab and I like the framing. The colours were what drew us to the spot, I've got a great shot of Ale behind this, peaking out using the hard light to cast shadows across her face.
Generally the models pose how they want, but there is some direction and we'll suggest spots to pose in.
It's only a short hop on the train from the IoW to Central London. You should come up and join us one SaturdayThanks Tim. I wouldn't have a clue, but she looks like she knows what she's doing. She looks fab and I like the framing.
That would be exciting but I think I would feel out of my depth. Do these events happen very often? It's only a short hop on the train from the IoW to Central London. You should come up and join us one Saturday![]()
They happen weekly (more or less). That would be exciting but I think I would feel out of my depth. Do these events happen very often?
Oh wow! I thought they were special conventions. They happen weekly (more or less).
You'd be fine. It's very easy going.
Cheers BillVery cool take on the theme Tim, great colours and composition.

Thanks. I thought it worked quite well.I like it.
Good composition.
Probably not an unusual shot for me though...Nice shot Tim, it might even work for "unusual"...
I managed to get some flowers in it. I felt this was far far less of a shoehorn than is usual for meA different interpretation on the theme Tim. Nicely done too
Cheers Simon.Nice shot (as always) Tim. Works really well for the theme.

The question is, what is an unusual photo for me? (Though actually I do think I have one).Wow what a sight (and site!) for Bottles. So different for the theme, and nicely captured.
Flora - I like the composition and that her outfit appears to have pink hydrangeas on it too!
I thought you might have been grabbing an unusual shot at the weekend.... which actually either of the above would satisfy too.
I believe security has been pretty tight the whole time it's been closed. not sure I'd fancy trying to explore in it;s current state. That's an interesting shot Tim, I think hat there would be a lot to explore at that site (if you could get access).

It would indeed.Looks good - this would be Hi-tec in its day.
I can smell the heady mix of heavy oil and steam coal...
I'm not actually sure what the slide bar is really called eitherThe red and gold is nicely placed in the frame, and I love the context with the wheels behind and the ... erm thingy arm leading you through the picture
I agree that a lot of your shots are unusual for the rest of us, but perhaps not for youI think that bottle shot will be a great record for the future. I kick myself when I think of all the missed opportunities when I lived in Liverpool and worked near the docks before they were renovated... ooh that doesn't sound very good does it?
