I'll be up for this but only get back from a week in Snowdonia the day before with my 5x4 so might not have any film left :p

Hopefully I can make it as it only a short trip from where I am. I can also bring a spare 5x4 if anyone wants a try if you want to supply some film :)

Excellent, the more the merrier. I'm sure there'll be a bit of film knocking about if you run out.

Great of you to offer your spare for folk that would like to try LF, hopefully we can encourage a few more to the world of 5x4

Me too. Rob, get some train times sorted and I'll pick you up at the station.

Now that this is sorted, does anyone want the Provia and HP5 that I have left over? It is outdated by about 12 months, but I can post it on if anyone wants to risk it. Just send an address via PM and I will sort it next week.

Would it be ok if I put my hand up for some of this and then I can load up some dark slides up for non LF users to have a go with at the meet?

Totally fine with me. Just PM your address and I will send it next week. I will check that there is something in the box first of course. I don't think there will be much, and if it turns out the box is empty I will send some Adox (?) b/w instead as there is no way I am going to get through it all.

I wouldn't say no to a few slides of Provia!

Probably wise to send it raglan, so he can load it up with everything else...

Still might pay to cross post this on the UK large Format format as you might get a few more people there with large format cameras.

I was looking at MrCad's earlier still a horrible web design if you ask me however one of the current offers is Fuji Pro 160 NS 5x4 Box of 20 Sheets
Exp 3-2013 £35.00. <-- might be of interest to some.

I have some out dated Velvia 100 5x4 which I paid about the same for last year I can drag some along and some Velvia 50 for the masochistic.

Tee Hee....like your new tagline Nick....

They are bad for me coming to the meet, but good for me becoming a property owner.

I'll speak to the misses tonight when she gets in, I might just be able to slip away and cmoe down. This is something I really want to get too :)

Thanks Andy, I'm very proud :D

I understand really, it would be great if you can make it but know only too well how stressful moving house is.

Maybe as you will have just moved house the offer of a Sunday lunch at the local hostelry may well sweeten the deal ;)

Just seen your forum title Nick.

I tried not to laugh.

I laughed. Hard.

Just out of interest... as I have probably missed something... Why?!

Dunno if you big format users fancy it, but there is a monster 5x4 Devere Varicon going on evilbay today. £20 when I looked. No it ain't me selling it. Though with a bit of effort it might make a useful and cool light-fitting?

As I am chauffeuring the Hooley and he can't get his lazy ar*e to Crewe until 08.40, it will probably be nearer to noon when we arrive. You lot shouldn't be hard to find though....:D

So then, where and at what time shall we meet?

Going on previous form in this thread, you're going to change everyone's plans anyway so why don't you decide? :p

Serious answer, I live just over an hour away according to Google Maps so any time is fine and if the weather's good, I might try to get there early. Do you (Woodsy) want picking up from Newbury?

:p

Appreciate the offer chap, but Nikki (GF) and I are heading back to Southampton straight after, so will need to drive separately.

We'd also planned on getting their early as well, so I was only really asking so that we know what time to be where everyone else is meeting.

I normally wander about aimlessly until someone shouts at me. Worked a treat in Llandudno. :D

According to their website, the date on which we plan on being there, the gates open at 8am and close at 5pm. According to The Photographers Ephemeris, for that location on that day, sunrise and sunset will be at 0653 and 1650 respectively. Might get lucky with the remaining golden light at sunrise, but sunset should work :) In any case, the sun should reach a max elevation of about 25 degrees above flat horizon, so shooting all day without direct bleaching sunlight should be possible. All we need now is good weather! Nick, you want to get on and order that? :D

Well sunshine shouldn't be a problem for Nick as apparently it shines out of his....oh hang on thats a bit rude.

Thanks Andy

As we are all going to be arriving at different times I think we should arrange a couple of rendezvous times at the cafe, maybe first thing in the morning and then at 12. Westonbirt Map

Depending on the weather I might go down on the Saturday so I can get some sunrise shots on the Sunday morning although I'm going to stay at the local pub  so an early start maybe a bit optimistic.

If anybody been there before and could give us a heads up as to good locations to head for, that would be helpful.

:D

It may cost me a few fancy dinners with the misses to be there lol

A few fancy dinners is a small price to pay for the chance to spend the day in the scintillating company of Andy Snap, Mr Hooley and the rest of the f&c luminaries.

I've never been a luminary before....

I thought you were more of a dill....doh! Sorry just quoting Homer Simpson.:D

I've added a list of folk that said they were coming along (or might do) to the first post.
