Can't make this date. Going to a John Mayer gig. Completely forgot! Really sorry guys :( I'm completely useless.

Ultimately cheeky, but is there any chance at all the date could be renegotiated? Was really looking forward to this!!! :(

Any date is fine by me, I've finally got all my projects for this calendar year done at work so hopefully no more 55 hour weeks :)
 
Fingers crossed that the DVLA will have reinstated my driving privileges by then and I can make it up. I'll even make sure I bring a film body if I manage!
 
Can't make that either, and although I'd love to visit Westonbirt, it's a bit far for me to go. If there's a likely to be a second one somewhere nearer me (Cambridge?) I'd very much like to come.

It's always tricky to pick places that evryone can get to which is why we often try to pick places that are accessible by train as if you book far enough in advance there are some good bargains to be had.

Over the past year we've had film meets in Greenwich, Chester, Manchester, Bristol and were about to do Llandudno next Saturday and then the large format meet in Westonbirt you know about.

I'd be more than happy to have a film meet in Cambridge but don't wait for someone else to organise it, stick up a post and a poll for a choice of dates and see if folk are interested.

As I said, just give people enough notice so that they can organise time off work, travel and cheap hotels for those that have to travel a bit to get there.

Woodsy, Are you still unable to do the first two weekends in November?
 
Well Sheffield Park was still but the weather was dull, still I will probably go there a few times before the Westbirt meet comes up.

I will definately be driving to the Cotswolds 10x8 and public transport is not something I would ever contemplate for fun. I will be coming from East Surrey so could pick up any one from around that way or along the route which is likely to be M3 then via braknell to the M4 so any where along the wayish is viable for picking people up. It will either be an estate car or a Transit depending on how much gear I lug along so two to three seats available.
 
Any reason not to go the weekend before or is it something kid related like half term? Just thinking that the later we push it the higher the chance of the best colour being gone

I can't make the weekend before but you're right about the colour which is why I don't really want to wait until mid/late November.
 
Right, I know Saturday 26th October was chosen but does anyone that is definitely coming mind if we change it to Sun 27th?
 
That would actually suit me better as we are looking after our niece on the saturday so it will save me getting the evil eye from swmbo.

If u can get to Crewe, there's a possibility I can have the car. Need to check with the boss though as she may need it.

Ok Roberto, she who holds the car keys has granted permission for me to have the car so if you can get yourself to a station near Crewe...say..mmmm...Crewe station I can pick you up and transport you in the lap of luxury to the jewel of the midlands and a meeting with destiny...well some geeks with big cameras anyway.:D

I'd love a fiddle with it if you can lend me a DDS and a couple of sheets of film.

BTW If anyone wants a couple of drum scans doing, bring a few negs or slides with you and I'll get some done :thumbs:
 
Are you definitely set on an Ebony then Woodsy or have you gone for another option to sell the Shen Hao?

If I remember I'll try and bring along my monster 360mm symar just in case someone wants to try some portraiture. It always feels a bit of a waste though using it on 5x4 when it can cover over 8x10

I went for a second hand SV45TE. Cost more than I can really afford, but I don't intend on getting another camera... well... ever!
