I saw a TV programme on this last year and it was amazing.

Chris :)

I've just signed up. I'd planned a day's photography in Liverpool on the 5th anyway so nice co-incidence.:)

Ray

Ohhh yeah that looks like a good photo op!

Fortunately i'm back in Manchester then, so will probably check it out :D

Damn!!!! Im in Germany and back at school. STUPID SCHOOL AND PARENTS LIVING DOWN SOUTH!!!! It looks bloody brilliant

La Machine by far. New Brighton rally is every year and well its just some cars driving fast down New Brighton prom. If you wanna see something spectacular that will never happen again then its got to be La Machine.

I'll definitely be going, it looks fascinating, if they're removing roundabouts to get it in it must be spectacular

The thread title says 4/5/6 but the video says its 5/6/7 so worth remembering

I just noticed that as well, i thought it strange to start on a thursday, I presume something will appear on the friday and it'll develop over the saturday and sunday

I can only go on the Friday. Do you reckon it'll be more interesting on the Saturday and Sunday ?

What else is worth photographing in Liverpool ? Any 'must do' buildings or sites ?

Ray

Well, there is a lot of architecture in liverpool, down the front, in the centre, in the business sector, all throughout liverpool. There is the two cathedrals, and don't forget china town with the magnificent gate.

As with everyone, a must do is the liver building, but try to do something different ;).

What i found, is that liverpool is totally transformed at night time, so something that you think isn't worth shooting at day time, is very VERY photogenic at night time.

I reckon that it'll be interesting all through the weekend, doesn't matter when.

Of course, Pete is the guy to ask about what to shoot in liverpool.

Best thing i can say really, is get those comfy shoes on, and just walk. You won't get lost because the St johns beacon is seen all round liverpool, and that's near on centre of town.

Looking at the london video it seemed to develop from the rocket landing, I don't know how long it took to get it all up and running, it may have been set up by the end of day one, as the one in Liverpool is going to be bigger it's anyone's guess.

I'd still come on the friday because whatever they do it'll be worth seeing

i know what the creature is... i think. (Mate works the opposite side of the river mersey to that of the building it's being kept in, and it was out today...)

I'm not going to tell you'z otherwise it'll ruin it.. :D

But enough to say, that i'm VERY excited to see something like that around the streets of liverpool.

Oh, and i've just got another text... AND IT'S GONNA BE AMAZING.

i must need new glasses i cant see.

This sounds great, I've got a day off on the Friday so think I'll head up there for the start of it and then I might just go up on the Saturday as well to try and catch some of the parade :D
