Stix & stones. It's great but you'll soon get someone comment on how you're a thief

You won't because discussing piracy is against the forums rulesIt's great but you'll soon get someone comment on how you're a thief
I know. But I suspect that wasn't the point of the thread.Kodii is not piracy. It's a way of viewing legal TV too.
Hunch? people rarely rave about being able to watch normal channels on these boxes.how would you know that?
I guess XBMC was like marmite, I really couldn't stand it. Found it too much of a tinkerers very and not very wife/children friendly. I found Windows MCE much better and that is saying somethingXBMC back in the old days was excellent. Kodi seems very clunky though (at least the PC version).

I'll happily stand corrected though.
Yeah it took a lot of faffing to get it spot on with themes and IMDB/artwork scrapers etc but then it just sat there and plodded along.I guess XBMC was like marmite, I really couldn't stand it. I have it in my fire stick. Anyone recommend a lite build that isn't resource hungry?

Not here, photographers don't care about copyright. No one ever posts about their photos being used without permission. It's great but you'll soon get someone comment on how you're a thief

Even if you use a vpn?You do realise all the BB companies are collating ip address that use Kodi, you may get a letter through your door as a warning, after that court action.

then there will be a hell of a lot people in court. You do realise all the BB companies are collating ip address that use Kodi, you may get a letter through your door as a warning, after that court action.
Some of the cheap boxes you can get on Amazon etc are barely capable of running it especially if they come with a version stuffed with assorted crap (most of which won't work)
They can typically be much improved by un-installing pretty much everything and downloading a clean install either from Play or Kodi website.
Then you can add a few things you actually use like iplayer, youtube, exodus.
It is very good at finding video, pictures and music on computer on your network and a really nice player which can smoothly output 4K to 4K TV
It's a lot easier to suss out how to do things if you grab the PC version to play about with first.
- it took me a while to realise this and my kodi box bought in the spring had gradually become unusable as installed add-ons weren't updated.
O had this first, but was annoyed with having to use a keyboard. If I could control it from my phone that would be brilliant.Best thing I have found is the Raspberry Pi 2 or 3. Order from the pi hut and comes ready to go once you clip it together.
Works a treat for £50z

I got kodi on my Fire Stick and although not 10/10, it suits my needs.
