Kit sobbery

what in the world makes a bicycle worth £4000?!! What the hell is it made of?
The bicycle I covet costs a lot more than that - a Moulton New Series Double Pylon is now (I think) £14,500.

Imagine expensive bicycles as Leica with pedals.

Kit snobbery is just like all other snobbery.

My current favourite is photo snobbery - evinced by comments on Flickr.

"Too XXXXX (insert aspect)".

Just because a photo is not technically clean does not mean it is a bad image.

The absolute top hate of mine on that one is when someone points out it doesn't follow the "rule of thirds".

Just because it's called a 'rule', doesn't mean it is! I think of rules (guidelines) as a basic set of instructions for people who have no natural ability.

Knowing when to ignore a rule is just as important as knowing when to follow it.

Sorry, going a bit off topic here...

Lizardman you are entirely correct.

I have been "told off" for placing images in the centre, to which I feel like replying "I wanted it in the centre, you dolt! Hence my framing it there!"
