A very nice picture Kelack, very Warhol.
I would love to know how you got the background in if you have time to explain.
. Basically it's a white frame around each pitcure pasted on to a square. Probably not the most technical of ways to do it and I'm sure someone else will have a better way. Thanks for the commentsLovely warm colours, and what a nice surprise. I like the way you've done that![]()
That's a terrific picture. I love the colours and how you've arranged them. The flowers look pretty cool, too. I nearly used flowers for the 'Surprise' theme and I'm so glad I didn't - they wouldn't have been half as creative at yours.
Jean
Love your Surprise shot, great colours, very sharp and well captured
Mind if I was given flowers I'd probably use them for a Shock theme![]()

Thanks for your comments really liking the surprise shot, lovely colours and fantastic presentation![]()

I love the colours and the multi-image set up of this - its greatWhat lens did you use?
Oh - if you use photoshop (elements or CS) then you can download a script that will autogenerate a panel for you. I'm not sure whether you can get the white border inside the black background as I havent tested it. But if it doesnt do quite what you want, then pm cowasaki and he will more than likely alter the script to do what you want.
Anyway - download it from this thread:

Version 2.1 is what you want and there is a manual to go with it. The 'panel.js' script is the one that makes a panel![]()
Lovely colourful flower surprise very nicely presented. Great interpretation![]()

Great composition and colour and right for the theme. The only suggestion I have is to ask if it would be improved by reducing the shadows a bit with a reflector? Nice strong image, well done.![]()
Agree with the above re shadows but boy that looks tasty! Great colours and concept too!
Lunch time methinks![]()
I am sooo glad that when you went down the cooked/raw road that you dicided to cook the egg.
It does look very tasty and a nice clear shot.
wel done
Catch up time......
I missed your Surprise shot (sorry)
But now that I've seen it I think it was worth the wait...that is excellent...and what a beautiful composition...
As for the Opposites...Mmmmmmm...what is it with the ladies on here with food....
That looks sooooooo nice I'm going to have a late night snack...
Another great interpretation....well done...I love it...
Thanks very much for your commentsLove that opposites shot Kelly, making me hungry!

Hmmm mmmm,.... Just had lunch, and I'm hungry again now. Excellent shot and love the colours.
I also agree about the shadows but I love the concept - and that you yummed it up afterwards![]()
Tasty shotand an inventive take on opposites. Gets
from me.

Surprise - Love the multi panel treatment of the flowers, I also like the way you've cropped some of the petals off on each one to focus on the form. I would be slightly tempted to flip the some of the images vertically and/or horizontally so they appear as if they are different images.
Opposites - The idea is good and definitely fits the theme. For some reason I don't like looking at it and when I do for a long period it makes me feel a bit sick. However, I can see that the photo is technically good (apart from the shadows you've already identified) you appear to be getting the hang of that light box
.

Sorry it makes you sickIt tasted very nice though.
Don't worry it's my problem I'm sure I'm a bit oddI can imagine it did taste very nice, especially if it was smoked bacon.
Great idea and a nice sharp shot with good colour and detail![]()
Loving the opposites excellent idea - well taken![]()
Sorry, I've only just seen your Opposites - but it makes me feel very hungry and I could just eat it right now!
It's a lovely colourful shot and just a piece of white card would have lifted the shadow - just until you get a pukka reflector, of course.Lots of opposites contained in it too.
You must have worked very quickly to get this looking so fresh - and still edible. Well done.
Jean
Sorry for your loss Kelly, that's a beautiful and touching photo.
I too am sorry to hear of your loss (words are useless aren't they ?) you've produced a stunning and moving photo.

What a sad thing to happen Kelly. It sounds like you had a great relationship with him and your Mourning card reflects that, and as one of the last things you have been able to do for him, I'm sure it will bring you some comfort.
I love the composition of the picture and think you've got the DoF just about right.
Have one of these![]()
Kelly, as John says, words are useless when this kind of thing happens.
Its a touching and loving shot you've produced and I'm sure your granddad will be looking down with a smile on his face at your work.
Well done to you and, although its a cliche, rest assured that time does heal![]()
Sorry to hear of your loss Kelly,
The photo of your grandad within your own photo is lovely.
